I recently had the opportunity to go spend some quality time with some quality friends and also shoot their biodynamic farm.

Every day I see this picture hanging on my fridge and it induces an emotion. It used to be loss and sadness, now it brings more love and appreciation. Still tinged with loss but I smile and feel warmth inside. My mother was one of the strongest people I know. I miss her every day.

9 years. Hard to believe I’m still affected 9 years in. My Uncle told me something at her funeral that has stayed with me. “It never gets easier, it just changes”. Man was he right. I still get waves, still miss her deeply. I still shed tears sometimes. But more and more I feel motivated to be as loving and caring as she was. To be as strong.

Life is hard sometimes, but in the end I know it’s all going to be ok. I just have to keep moving forward with love and good intentions. Making mistakes and learning from them. It’s all going to be ok. 12:34 ❤️
