You don’t need to score 30 points to make a difference on the court. 🏀

Josh Hart is a perfect example of a player who understands that impacting the game goes way beyond scoring.

Sometimes your team doesn’t need you to drop 30. They need you to grab 10 rebounds, make the extra pass, hustle for every loose ball, and give 100% on every possession.

Great players don’t just focus on what THEY want to do. They recognize what their TEAM needs to win. taken in Lawrence, New York by @therealaviproctor

What do you actually want to gain from your year in Israel? 🇮🇱

Before you start looking at specific yeshivas or seminaries, take some time to think about what you want to accomplish during your year.

Once you have a clear idea of what you’re hoping to gain, it becomes a whole lot easier to figure out which program will help you get there.

The goal isn’t just to find a great program. It’s to find the right program for YOU. taken in Bet Shemesh, Israel by @therealaviproctor

Before you start asking yourself WHICH Yeshiva or Seminary you want to go to, you need to ask yourself a much more important question…

WHY do I want to spend a year in Israel? 🇮🇱

Once you understand your WHY, you can start figuring out what you actually want to gain from your year. And once you know that, finding the right program becomes a whole lot easier.

Don’t start with where you want to go. Start with why you want to go.

That’s step one. 🎯

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”

I’ve always believed that this saying couldn’t be further from the truth.

Our words have tremendous power. And unfortunately, when we get angry, we often say things out of frustration that we end up regretting later.

In a recent RTB shmooz, we spoke about the middah of anger and how important it is to control not just our emotions, but the words that come out of our mouths.

The next time you find yourself getting angry, remember that words can leave a lasting impact.

Think before you speak. Once the words come out, you can’t take them back. 💯

8 years ago, we started Israel Gap Year with just 300 followers and 8 student ambassadors.

Fast forward to today, and we now have over 60 student ambassadors representing yeshivas and seminaries across Israel! 🇮🇱

It’s been incredible to watch this community grow over the past eight years. Every follow, share, comment, and message has helped us get to where we are today, and we couldn’t be more grateful for your support! 🙏

And now… it’s time for YEAR 8! 🎉

We’re also excited to welcome back @wearetouro as our flagship sponsor for the 2026–27 year!

You’ll be seeing plenty of Touro on our page throughout the year. If you’re looking for a quality college education after your gap year while continuing to strengthen your Judaism, look no further than Touro.

Defense is about making the offense uncomfortable.

If a player wants to go right, force him left. If he wants his strong hand, make him use his weak hand.

Don’t let the person you’re guarding dictate what happens. Take away what they’re comfortable doing and force them into something they’re not.

That’s when mistakes happen. That’s when you get stops.

A simple defensive concept we make sure our guys understand at RTB. taken in Hollywood, Florida by @therealaviproctor
