It’s a beautiful day! Drove up this morning at my favorite beach hideaway “Beacons” 🏖️ Glassy waves 🌊 64 degrees water temp and paddled out to my secret spot. 2 + hours paddling and surfing. Awww…. something about the being in ocean water is so captivating 🤩 by @therealkennyrogers

Salt water heals everything. 💦 The ocean is so powerful and so healing. It’s kind of a sanctuary. When you’re in the water it’s very inclusive. Surfing can have wonderful effects on the mind as it’s a combination of working out, being outside in the sunshine, and having fun. Doing all this helps your body release cortisol and feel-good endorphins🤙 by @therealkennyrogers

Just wanted to share some amazing news. It’s been almost 30 days since my complete hip surgery. I am pain-free and recovering much faster than most people because of my mindset and athletic body of twisted steel and sex appeal . I’m like a tiger in the cage, ready to get back into the jungle. Nothing is cooler and more attractive than a big comeback, and that’ll be me…🤙 by @therealkennyrogers

So working for the Padres for many years ….I thought it would be bitchen if I could play some kind of “Walk-UP” song like baseball players as they are walking up to the batters box…. or in my case enter the hospital in style for my hip surgery. My sister and brother-in-law are with me so I had to stay in my lane and they vetoed music in a hospital. 🏥 But, If I COULD play a walk up song…The first thing that popped into my head would have been is “Rhinestone Cowboy” by Glen Campbell. “I’m on the road of my horizon. I’m gonna be with the lights are shining on me.” like a rhinestone cowboy.🤠 ….getting cards and letters from people I don’t even know…. And offers coming over the phone 📞 That song didn’t happen, but in the recovery room I decided to play a Spice Girls tell me what you want what you really really want. The nurses station lit up like the Fourth of July. I was the resident DJ at Kaiser Hospital for my own surgery recovery send off on a gurney west away to another station. That’s most do you know I’m pretty much the class clown. 🤡 I hope you enjoy the IG montage of U2 elevate song as we are headed back to the beach house🏡 🏖️🏝️ The surgery was seamless and I’m glad I did a trade-in on an old arthritic hip model for a new Ferrari $6 million man leg. Thank you all for your amazing support love and friendship . I’ll be back in the saddle soon. 🚀🏐🏄‍♂️🧘‍♂️🕺 Grazie 🇮🇹 KR by @therealkennyrogers

So it’s the last supper here tonight at the beach. Having a healthy dinner from peace pies, which is a vegan store in Ocean Beach. I had a delicious falafel with buffalo sauce and a fresh plate of kale. I’m going in healthy and coming out same way 🩷 I’m not scared at all. I’m actually excited, I will definitely be somebody that will recover like a superhero 🦸 in a blaze of glory… by @therealkennyrogers

The waiting is over. The time has come for a new hip tomorrow. Surgery often makes our lives much better in the long term. But in the short term, the idea of a visit to the operating room often carries an emotional weight that can feel overwhelming. I’ve done the mental work and mind-calming practices 🕉️☯️ to prepare for the surgery. I’m healthy as a fiddle. I’ve been surfing and playing sand volleyball for many many years. In the last few months I trained my core and upper body at the gym. My EKG heart rate is excellent. ♥️ My guess is my recovery will be an astonishing and mind-blowing. I just want to give a big shout out to all my friends and family leading up to this moment. Booya 👊 😍 by @therealkennyrogers

“Let me explain something to you. Um, I’m not Mr. Lebowski. Your Mr. Lebowski. I am the Dude, So that’s what you can call me. That or, His Dudeness or, Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing” by @therealkennyrogers

The Sea of Love 💕

The sea symbolizes freedom and escape. The voice of the sea is seductive, never ceasing, whispering, clamoring, murmuring, inviting the soul to wander in the abysses of solitude. The sensuous sound of the surf constantly beckons and rumbles. The sea is always mysterious and spontaneous. The ocean, with its immense power and constant movement, is often seen as a source of spiritual cleansing and rebirth. Immersing oneself in the ocean’s waters is believed to wash away negative energy and bring about a renewed sense of vitality and purity. In its vastness, the sea represents power, strength, glory, resilience, life, peace, and infinite potential. There’s also an element of hope in the ocean. The sea is truly a tremendous force that shapes our lives. by @therealkennyrogers

Sad to report that my favorite surf break called Beacons in Leucadia has been closed since April. The last two days I’ve been sitting in my chair, listening to music and looking at the ocean button. The locks are still preventing people from going down to the beach, the world on the street, the bluff access will be open on memorial day 🇺🇸 by @therealkennyrogers

Just wanted to give a big shout out to my good friends Moura at Lord Of Dings! Moura Is a gifted surgeon of surfboards repairs bringing boards back to life. He’s also an incredible humanitarian for the people of Brazil. Please check out his Instagram page at Lord Of Dings. There’s been catastrophic storms and flooding throughout the southern region of Brazil. 🇧🇷 news outlets in the United States don’t really cover the real stories of struggles so I hope you can join him and support his efforts sending wetsuits to search and rescue. 🛟 we need to raise money to ship the wetsuits from the United States to Brazil. by @therealkennyrogers

Be brave 👊 and take risk. You need to have faith in yourself. You don’t have to figure it all out to move forward. by @therealkennyrogers
