The first time I ever saw my teacher and mentor @yogi_ram do a revolving wheel, I thought I would never be able to do it.

It literally took hundreds of hours of gentle hip openers, shoulder stretches, back exercises, and all of the basic work required to build a solid foundation before I finally surprised myself.

What once felt impossible suddenly became effortless—but only because of the progressions I took to get there.

Everyone wants to do the party tricks, but no one wants to do the preliminary work it takes to build the foundation that supports them.

There are no shortcuts.

Skipping the fundamentals only increases your risk of injury and can set you back further than if you had taken the time to intentionally build your foundation and move through the progressions.

Big shoutout to Yoga Rob for introducing me to sequencing and principles that will stick with me for a lifetime. 🙏

Build the foundation. Trust the progression. Then surprise yourself. 💫

Grief doesn’t mean they’re gone from our lives.

We carry them with us.

In the way we love.
In the lessons they taught us.
In the words we use.
In the choices we make.
In the pieces of them that became pieces of us.

That’s Soul Inheritance.

I’m not big on birthday celebrations for myself. I get over-analytical and hyper-critical of my life most years. This year was different. This year, it was all about gratitude. I celebrated 42 laps around the sun with movement, connection, and gratitude. I’m grateful for my mind and body and the connection between the two. I’m grateful for my incredible son who teaches me things about myself and my relationship with the world every day. I’m grateful for all of my incredible friends and family who love me and show up for me regardless of where I’m at energetically. This life is such a beautiful blessing. I’m so grateful for all of it. Thank you to every single Soul that I ever encountered along this incredible journey. Thank you for the lessons, the Blessings, and the presence. Big shout out to my brother from another Clayton Mayo for capturing these incredible moments on camera.

Sometimes finding your voice starts by putting it on paper.

For @theprincesspoetess, writing became a safe space—a place to express what she was feeling, process what she was experiencing, and finding sanctuary in the worlds her words created no matter what was happening in the world around her.

And eventually, those words wanted to be heard.

The confidence she found on the page gave her the courage to express those words out loud. Writing became spoken word. Spoken word became open mics. And now Kaileia creates that same kind of space for others, hosting an open mic the first three Wednesdays of every month at Salt Your Soul in Sarasota, FL.

Sometimes your voice is there long before you’re ready to speak it.

You just have to find the words first.

There are things we carry that were never meant to come with us.

Old versions of ourselves. Old wounds. Old expectations. Pieces of ourselves we’ve sacrificed trying to love, survive, belong, or become.

In her powerful poem “Purge,” @theprincesspoetess draws a line in the sand.

It’s a promise to herself to release what pulls her out of alignment, remain rooted in her purpose, and never abandon herself in the process.

Because in her words:

“Self-abandonment is death.”

Sometimes, the plan is just to get started.

You don’t need to know every step before you take the first one. You need a direction, a willingness to move, and an open mind about where that movement might lead.

Angel Soto’s story is a perfect example.

He kept moving. He stayed receptive. He treated people right. And along the way, different people showed up with knowledge, connections, opportunities, and pieces of the puzzle he couldn’t have planned for himself.

One step revealed the next. One relationship opened another door. And eventually, what looked like a series of separate actions started looking like a plan coming together.

Having a plan isn’t enough. You have to put it in motion.

And sometimes, the “plan” is simply to start—then pay attention to what starts falling into place around you.

Commitment is more than intention. It’s follow through.

When your actions align with what you say you want, things start happening. One decision creates a connection. One connection creates an opportunity. One opportunity opens a door you couldn’t have planned for.

Call it synchronicity. Call it alignment. Call it magic.

But none of it happens without action.
