What’s it really like to go through the Leadership Development Cohort? 🕊️ Hear from five of our Ambassadors as they share their experience of the Cohort and the impact it had on them personally. The Cohort is a 12-week virtual program that equips Christians with the theological depth, practical tools, and supportive community needed to be effective advocates for LGBTQ inclusion in the church. It’s also a pathway to becoming a local Ambassador of The Reformation Project. 📅 February–May 2027 ✍️ Applications close December 15 Whether you’re LGBTQ or straight, if you love God, cherish Scripture, and care deeply about the church, we’d love for you to apply. Apply now at reformationproject.org/cohort #TheReformationProject #OrthodoxAndAffirming #LGBTQChristian #FaithfullyInclusive #AffirmingChurch #LeadershipCohort by @thereformationproject
The biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah is not about same-sex relationships. The threatened act in Genesis 19 was a horrific gang rape, not a loving relationship. Ezekiel 16:49 identifies Sodom's sin as arrogance and failure to help the poor and needy—not same-sex behavior. The word "sodomy" wasn't even coined until the 11th century and never once appears in the Bible. Anyone using the story of Sodom to condemn gay people is misusing it. If you want to dive deeper into how Genesis 19 has been misunderstood, visit the link in bio. #TheReformationProject #OrthodoxAndAffirming #LGBTQChristian #FaithfullyInclusive #AffirmingChurch by @thereformationproject
What makes a Christian marriage? Is it procreation, or something deeper? In this clip, biblical scholar Karen Keen explains how same-sex couples can embody the goods of marriage through lifelong faithfulness, mutual support, and spiritual growth. While procreation is one good of marriage, its absence does not invalidate a marriage. Ultimately, Christian marriage reflects Christ's transforming love through the way spouses care for one another. To learn more, check out Karen's full "Scripture and Sexual Ethics" video course via the link in bio. #TheReformationProject #OrthodoxAndAffirming #GayChristian #FaithfullyInclusive #AffirmingChurch by @thereformationproject
We’re excited to launch our next Leadership Development Cohort — a 12-week virtual program designed to equip Christians with the theological depth, practical tools, and supportive community needed to be effective advocates for LGBTQ inclusion in the church. From February to May 2027, participants will engage in in-depth Bible study, leadership training, and meaningful conversations with others who share a commitment to an orthodox and affirming church. This program is also a pathway to becoming a local Ambassador of The Reformation Project, helping guide others as they navigate these topics in non-affirming spaces. Whether you’re LGBTQ or straight, if you love God, cherish Scripture, and care deeply about the church, this is an incredible opportunity to grow and make a difference. 🕊️ Applications are due December 15th, with selection decisions made in January 2027. Apply today, via the link in bio. #ReformationProject #Leadership #LGBTQ #LGBTQInclusion #Church #FaithInAction #LeadershipDevelopment #ambassadorprogram by @thereformationproject

Today, we're reforming the church because of your support—one meaningful conversation at a time. 🕊️ Today, National DAF Day, is your moment to put your donor-advised fund toward a mission that truly matters: a church where LGBTQ people are fully affirmed in congregations that they love. Every grant recommended through your DAF moves our work forward. ➡️ You can join our Visionary Partners giving circle with an impact gift, or become part of our Good Fruit Collective with a monthly gift. 🍒 Have questions about giving through your DAF? Can the church be both theologically orthodox and fully affirming of LGBTQ people? Absolutely. Christians can both uphold the full authority of the Bible and support same-sex marriage and transgender people. Gay, bisexual, and transgender people are a vital part of the body of Christ, and it’s time for the church to fully accept and embrace them. Join the movement for a church that is deeply rooted in the core truth claims of the Christian faith and that is affirming of LGBTQ people.
