Back from USA! Time to put my newly acquired @strandbergguitars OS7 Limited through its paces with my solo from “Black Orchids” off our new record, live one take. I don’t really ‘shred’ these days so this one is a bit of a handful for me, still haven’t got it quite perfect but bruh how sexual is this guitar?! Really impressed with these @lacepickups - and tone from Neural DSP PliniX using one of Jake Howsam Lowe’s presets.

Aite I’m back on my @cynic_official worship. I’ve learned a few chunks of Cynic songs but never the solos because I find Paul’s phrasing really hard to replicate. So anyway here’s me failing to replicate Paul’s phrasing on the solo to Holy Fallout. I used Logic’s stem splitter to strip out the actual guitar so what you hear is what you see. Had to play it on the Masvidalien too… tone from Neural Petrucci.

This solo is probably still my favourite I’ve written, but even after playing it hundreds of times I still struggle with the legato bends, and all the pickup config changes. Sounds alright when I don’t muck it up! Conduit - Claemus

I’m back with another reminder of how gangster Architects could be. This time a request from @brendonjpeters for Numbers Count for Nothing. It’s a lil sloppy but what ya gonna do. I also wasn’t sold on some of the tabs out there so some of this is my own interpretation. Live, one take, no edits ra-de-ra.
Tone:

This thing rips! My newly acquired Yamaha RGX A2 got some bigger strings and a little bit of adjusting here and there and it sounds great. This is a little bit of We’re All Alone by Architects (from when they used to write gnarly guitar parts).

I haven’t forgotten about my commitment to all your suggested big riffs, but I’ve been sick as a mofo the last two weeks so guitar (and living ambulatory) has been low priority. This biggie was suggested by @reesechild and it’s nasty. Don’t wanna be a hater but remember when these guys wrote riffage like this?? Dispossession by Northlane. One take no edits ra ra ra.

First of the request riffs that some of you suggested - this one is for @kez_emm_music with C’est La Vie by Protest The Hero. Learned it tonight so…. It’s not perfect but, close enough innit - as always one take no edits.

Little one-take rip of the goated Invisible Enemy intro by @augustburnsred - I used stem splitter to cut the actual gats so what you hear is what you see. Once the tapping lead comes in I added another rhythm track to fill the stereo image and automated some pan. One take unedited so there’s a couply missed notes but whatyagonnado, y’know?
Tone is:
Neural DSP Gojira (with some automation for fx/pan)
