👉 Can I go scuba diving even if I don’t know how to swim?
You do not need to be an Olympic swimmer to take a DSD; however, you should feel comfortable in the water and be able to maintain yourself at the surface. Swimming is not a requirement for DSD. However, if you plan on doing certification courses, then knowing how to swim is a pre-requisite.

👉 How long will I dive for?
This varies from person to person and depends on how quickly (or slowly) you breathe the air in your tank. It could be anywhere between 20 and 50 minutes. For Disocver Scuba Divers (DSD), it won’t be more than 40 minutes.

👉What are the major scuba diving institutes?
1. PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors)
- Most widely recognized certification body globally.
- Offers structured courses from beginner to professional levels.
2. SSI (Scuba Schools International)
- Offers flexible training with online and in-person modules. Provides internationally recognized certifications.

There are also other diving institutes like NAUI, SDI, RAID, and so on but the 2 institutes mentioned above are the major & widely recognised ones.

When dreams come true ❤️🌎

I didn't know about anyone in my family who loved traveling as much as I did. And naturally, I faced a lot of resistance initially.

But things start to change when you persevere. Slowly and steadily.

Thanks to so many amazing people who paved the way for me through their own journeys to live my travel dream.

To mention a few:

@indiandigitalnomad traveling the world as an Indian is never easy, but thanks to Saurav, it doesn't seem so difficult either!

Gotta love Instagram for connecting me to inspiring people you wouldn't have known otherwise.

Did I manifest my dream relationship ❤️

You know whenever the topic of life partners came in, I’d tell my mom the kind of person I wanted in my life. And she'd tell me that I need to adjust or settle down. That it's just not possible to find someone like this.

As for me, I had a pretty decent life. I was making good money, I was doing the things that I love (traveling and blogging).

And my reasoning was that, when I’m inviting another person into my life, it needs to result in a better life. Otherwise, what’s the point, right?

I’d rather be single than be in a messy relationship 💔

Also, I darn well knew that I cannot let society dictate my life. I wanted to live life on my own terms, whether I’m married or not. I realized early on that society’s way of living doesn’t work for me. I have my own ideals and aspirations and more often than not, it didn't align with society.

So consciously or subconsciously, I attracted someone who’s probably even more rebellious than me (in terms of thoughts and ideals).

I spent enough time with him to know for sure that my life isn’t going to drastically get worse after marriage. Which happens ever so often especially with women.

My life has been pretty much the same even after getting married (and a lot better in some ways) and I still travel solo!

And for all women out there, as you grow older, you might start attracting a narrower band of men, but of a much higher caliber - which is a good thing. The man-boys disappear and you are left with self-assured and established men.

So, don’t fall into the pressure of getting married early. Marriage or not has to happen on your terms not on the generic timeline that society expects.

Here’s a little reminder that you can have it all - a great partner and a life of freedom! 💃

Along the walls of these temples, stories from the epics unfold as devotees walk around the shrine. Sculpture becomes part of that passage, giving belief a visible form and a sequence to follow.

Some inscriptions preserve further details about the maker, including lineage and titles. Across the centuries, the work still carries a connection to the person who made it.

Knowing this changes the encounter. Your eye returns to the jewellery, the posture, the small curve of a leaf. Someone studied these things. Someone understood how to translate them into stone. The temple begins to reveal a world of expertise alongside the world of faith it was built to serve.

Namibia was a whole lot more than what I thought it would be.

I don't know what surprised me more. Was it the fact that I've seen more African elephants 🐘 than Asian elephants? Or the screeching barks of the hundreds of seals 🦭 off Walvis Bay coast that have made it their home. Or the vast emptiness of the Namib desert 🏜️ that makes you feel insignificant in an instant? Or the striking red sand dunes of Mars-like Sossusvlei national park.

It's hard to pick one.

But all I can say is I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Africa. It still feels unreal even after 2 months.

So grateful to all the wonderful experiences I've had there thanks to @namibiatourismboard and @aboutafricaco

It has been 4 years since we got married in one of the most chaotic periods - right in the middle of the pandemic. In the middle of the chaos, one thing I knew for certain - I made the right choice. Nothing else mattered.

4 years later, nothing much has changed. If anything, our bond has gotten stronger with time. I married an incredible person and even after all this time, I still feel that way. I hope I always remember that.
