One trip to Sanibel a year? 😂 That’s adorable.

The beach is calling, the shells aren’t going to find themselves, and honestly, who’s counting? 🐚🌴☀️

Be honest… how many times have you been to Sanibel & Captiva this year? 👀 by @thesancapguide

There’s nothing scarier than hearing those five little words: “Your Sanibel vacation ends tomorrow.” 😱🌴🐚 by @thesancapguide

Apparently, a computer model has decided my 85-year-old mother is “UNLIKELY” to vote. 🤦‍♀️
I love her response!!🤣

There’s just one small problem.

The address they’re using is where my parents lived before Hurricane Ian flooded their home in 2022. That house doesn’t even exist anymore!

Perhaps before predicting whether someone will vote, the computer should first check whether their house is still standing. 😂 by @thesancapguide

After years of research, I’m finally ready to share my groundbreaking discovery with the world. 🐚

No fancy technology. No expensive equipment. Just a revolutionary technique that’s been hiding in plain sight.

Investors are skeptical. But the results speak for themselves. 😂

Fellow shellers, how many times do you think you bend over during one walk on the beach? by @thesancapguide

A little family lunch at Jerry’s Café on Sanibel. Good food, friendly faces, and that lovely local feel that keeps us coming back.

And because we know everyone loves a peek at the menu, stick around until the end to grab a screenshot! 📸

Have you had lunch at Jerry’s Café lately? What’s your go-to order? by @thesancapguide

Does it really matter what day it is when you’re on Sanibel? 🌴🐚☀️

Who else wishes this was their weekly schedule? 🙋‍♀️ by @thesancapguide

Ever wonder why you can stare at waves for ages and somehow never get bored? 🌊

Turns out, our brains are rather fond of a little predictability… just not too much.

Waves have a familiar rhythm. But no two are ever quite the same.

The shape changes. The sunlight catches the water differently. The sound shifts ever so slightly.

It’s that lovely mix of familiarity and surprise that may help explain why watching the waves holds our attention.

There’s something comforting about knowing what’s coming, while still being curious about what happens next.

And here on Sanibel and Captiva, we could happily put that theory to the test all day. ☀️

How long could you sit and watch the waves without checking your phone? 🐚 by @thesancapguide

🎉 A birthday celebration 150 years in the making! 🦆🌿

October 21 marks what would have been the 150th birthday of Jay Norwood “Ding” Darling, the legendary conservationist whose legacy lives on right here on Sanibel Island!

Join the celebration at J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, October 20–22, as we honor the man who helped shape the island we know and love today. 💚
