No, but seriously, if you love Jesus and want to live a more intentional lifestyle, then this is the space for you🫶

I love to create community, share the love of Jesus, and sling weights around (for my sanity). by @thesavannadiaries

Every year, I get the urge to chop off my hair🤪 (in the fall, not summer...wild)

If you're in middle GA, or close enough to Milledgeville, you need to see my girl @hairbycscott ✨️

She took the plunge and opened her OWN SALON, and it is truly a gem!! She also has a bouncer and toys for the kiddos, if you have to bring them along. This makes it so much easier for mamas to be able to get their hair done🥹

We crossed paths at a wedding a few years back, and she has been my go-to hair gal since! She's SO good at what she does. Go ahead and book that appointment👏

Just like anything else, quality friendships also require sacrifice. If you want to create community with other people, you've got to be real and raw with people. You have to push aside your pride, and let them know YOU.

Keep in mind, discernment is also important. Don't just go around telling your business to everyone...🤪 but find the people you connect with, who have similar qualities and interests, who push you to be better, and pour into them.

Show up when they need you.
Be willing to get into the trenches with them.
Pray for them when they feel like they can't.
Encourage them in their endeavors.
Inconvenience yourself for their benefit.

The best advice? Love them like God loves you. See them through His eyes. Valuable, loved, cherished. Because that's what they are, and that's what you are, too.

Don't be scared to let people in. You may miss out on something beautiful🤍 by @thesavannadiaries

In a world full of so much hurt and anguish, may we never forget that each and every person here was made in the image of God. That He intentionally created them, and has a plan and purpose tied to their life.

Let this remind us to smile more, send words of encouragement, sprinkle compliments everywhere we go, hold the door for others, send a text to let someone know that we are thinking of them, and shine the light of Jesus✨️

May our hearts never be hardened, and may we never be blinded by hate and division🫶 Let's love people well. THAT is how you build God's kingdom. by @thesavannadiaries

Habits I am taking into year 28 (and beyond)✨️ by @thesavannadiaries

You can SAY eating clean is a priority.
You can SAY exercising is a priority.
You can SAY spending time with Jesus is a priority.
But your priorities show up in the things you do on a day-to-day basis, and what you do even when you don't necessarily feel like it.

If eating clean is a priority, then why is fast food always the answer when you "don't feel like cooking?"

If exercising is a priority, then why does your couch have a more wear and tear than your tennis shoes?

If spending time with Jesus is a priority then why is your bible only being read on Sundays?

We can SAY a lot of things, but actions speak louder than words...always🙌 If you're waiting on motivation to get things done, you never will. Discipline is what gets things done. You have to be DISCIPLINED and INTENTIONAL about how you spend your time if you want to see change.

Showing up while in the trenches of motherhood (for anything) is HARD. Some seasons are easier than others, and some can rock you to your core, but being [intentional] about your priorities is important.

Church is one of those things–for us.

You can't always expect your children to be perfect little angels because that's not reality, but keep showing up.

While you're pacing the hallways, you're still doing holy work.
While you're rocking your baby in the nursery, you're still building the kingdom.

Not every Sunday is going to go smoothly...if anything, it will probably be really tough (I always say the devil works overtime on Sunday mornings😂), but being in fellowship with other believers IS important.

Yes, worship at home and staying in the word daily ARE extremely important, but I also believe that when we are together as the body of Christ, that's when things really change. Physically GOING to church is something special.

Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them"

So, as Nike says...JUST DO IT🤪 and if you're local and haven't found a church to call home, come with me one Sunday. We would love to see you there! by @thesavannadiaries

Proverbs 27:17 🗡
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.

Being INTENTIONAL about who you surround yourself with frequently is SO important.

Statistics show that up to 95% of your life's successes and failures are dependant upon your social group.

If your goal is to deepen your faith, you need to surround yourself with some God-fearing, pray-the-roof-off-the-place friends and mentors.

If you want your marriage to grow, you should be surrounding yourself with other married friends who also prioritize their relationship.

If you want to live a healthier lifestyle, you need to surround yourself with people who encourage and push you, and have the same goals.

I know comfort is what we crave, but if you want to GROW, you have to cultivate and seek out friendships that will encourage growth. They are going to be those "sandpaper friends" — the ones who call you out (with love and respect), and help keep you on track.

Not everyone speaks about what they are going through and what is taking a toll on them, some do, but nonetheless, people are walking around broken, worn out, and overwhelmed.

This is why it is so important to treat people with love and kindness. Pray fervently for the Lord to open your eyes to see those who are hurting, and to use you as a light for His glory. It could be a simple smile, a kind word, a hug, or praying for them when they feel like they can't.

And if you are hurting, just know that God has a plan and purpose attached to your life, and your circumstances do NOT define your worth.

Here are a few of my favorite scriptures to cling to, when things get HARD:

▪︎ Matthew 6:26
"Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"

▪︎ Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

▪︎ Phillipians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

-

Bonus: a few of my favorite songs to remind me of the goodness and mercy of God, when I seem to forget🙏
▪︎ Goodness of God / Bethel Music
▪︎ Firm Foundation / Cody Carnes
▪︎ Gratitude / Brandon Lake
▪︎ Build My Life / Pat Barrett
▪︎ Call God / Elevation Worship
▪︎ The Lord Will Provide / Passion

Intentionality is everything.

In your life, in your relationship with Jesus, in your marriage, in your time with your children. All of it.

BE INTENTIONAL.

If you are not pouring into your spouse, someone or something else will.
If you are not pouring into your children, someone or something else will.

If you are not digging into the Word and staying rooted in Jesus Christ, you will feel lost, broken, and burned out.

Just look at the world—lost, broken, burned out, and in need of a Savior. And that Savior is Jesus Christ.

Be intentional about your conversation with strangers. Plant the seeds.

Start living your life like it could end tomorrow...because it could. Love people well, do hard things, love mercy, walking humbly, spread the Gospel.

Stop being apathetic and start being intentional👏 by @thesavannadiaries

Want a great life tip? Stop surrounding yourself with junky people—you know, the people secretly praying for your downfall, hindering you from growth, and often pointing out your flaws for the sake of criticism versus offering correction that points you back to the cross.

You need friends who pray for you, pray with you, lovingly correct you when you are wrong, and encourage you.

Be selective about your friend group. Even Jesus, who had many friends and folllwers, only confided in a few. It's not about quantity. It's about quality. You are who you surround yourself with🤍 by @thesavannadiaries
