The African Coaches Initiative is open, and it’s completely free. Ask who discovered and developed the African talent that went through the college system before becoming world class and most people can’t name them. A coach in Nairobi or Lagos or Accra puts years into an athlete development. Grass track. Borrowed spikes and unfavorable conditions. Then the athlete is recruited by a U.S. college programme, and the coach’s name appears nowhere. No recognition. No support. No call afterwards. So the coach moves on to work that pays and stops coaching completely , and the next athlete is never developed for lack of support. Africa never loses the talent. It loses the people who develop it. Only a few African coaches can develop athletes all the way to world class, and some athletes need the college system to develop further due to lack of support in their respective countries. This initiative is designed to support African coaches and Athletes. What registered coaches get: 💰 A coach development incentive — registered coaches are eligible 📋 Named as developing coach on every athlete you submit 📊 Our evaluation tools and the recruiting standards U.S. college programmes use 🔔 Live updates when college staff open your athletes’ profiles 🌍 A coach network across the continent 📖 Coaching education opportunities Free to join. “Which schools do I actually fit?” Every African and international athlete asks it. Almost nobody gets a straight answer. The TheSeanConet Program Match Engine takes your personal best and matches it against 200+ college programmes — by conference, by division, by what each one actually recruits. Then it sends your profile to those coaches. Our Eligibility Projection Engine runs alongside it, checking your academic documents against NCAA international standards for your country. A fast time means nothing if your paperwork never clears. Marks and eligibility, answered together. No other platform does both. Free for Africans and international athletes. No subscription, no tier, no catch. Create your profile and see where your PB fits. 🔗 thesean-conet.com Disclaimer: Our Eligibility projections are for guidance only and are unofficial. Only the NCAA Eligibility Center certifies academic eligibility and amateur status, and only colleges make admission and scholarship decisions. by @theseancast

NCAA long jump champion Tafadzwa “Tah” Chikomba sits down with TheSeanCast for our September Athlete Spotlight — and tells the story behind the medals. From Harare, Zimbabwe, Chikomba walked miles to practice with no facilities, trained with 18-wheeler tires, and once gave up on the sport entirely when his family couldn’t afford the ticket to a global junior meet. Then one last jump in Zambia — 7.83m off almost no training — changed his life, sparking a phone call from America, a junior-college start, and a transfer to Kansas State. In 2026 he delivered one of the great NCAA debut seasons: an 8.37m wind-legal national title, a Big 12 record, and a wind-aided 8.75m — the best all-conditions jump in NCAA history and #8 on the world all-conditions list. In this interview he opens up about: 00:56 Keeping momentum from JuCo to D1 03:52 A record-breaking first K-State season 06:28 Balancing sprinting and long jump 07:49 The science of the last six strides 10:24 Switching from triple jump to long jump 11:04 How far can he really jump? 13:42 Training with no facilities in Zimbabwe 17:17 The hardest part of moving to America 19:21 What the journey means to him 22:21 Studying kinesiology & life after track 24:49 Chasing greatness: “one of the greatest to ever live” Full Episode is now live on theseancast.com, TheSeanCast Arena App and on YouTube ▶ Subscribe/follow to TheSeanCast for the powerful, inspiring stories of African athletes. #TheSeanCast #TafadzwaChikomba #LongJump #NCAAChampion Zimbabwe KansasState AfricanAthletics TrackAndField 🎧 TheSeanCast — amplifying African athletes’ stories taken in Texas by @theseancast
