330 Ritch Street was part of a vibrant chapter in San Francisco’s cultural history — a gathering place for hip hop, soul, Britpop, underground music, and the communities that came together around them, tucked into an alley between Brannan and Townsend.

Now we’re gathering the stories, photographs, flyers, memories, and voices of the people who were there — to document and preserve this special piece of San Francisco history.

Got an old event flyer? A ticket stub? A party invite? A photo from a night you still talk about? We want it. Submit your piece of Ritch Street history and become part of a community archive and art exhibition at Victory Hall — the same walls, a new chapter.

IN’n’ OUT is excited to spotlight another special guest John “Stormy” Rogers who will be joining us on the decks this Sunday!

Stormy has been a driving force in the West Coast vintage soul scene since 1985. As the co-founder of The 3 Lonely Guys and co-publisher of the Soul Sounds fanzine, he has held residencies at countless clubs. “I was one of the first dozen Northern Soul DJs in California, but that doesn’t really matter,” Stormy says. “I cue up the record, hit play, the crowd dances, and all the BS fades away. Parents, teachers, politicians—they all drown out in the sound of soul. Then I put another record on, and do the same goddamned thing all over again.”

Sweater Funk is back Saturday October 3rd 2026 with a return from our special guest DJ Danny Soto. @dj.danny_soto is co-founder and resident of Uptown Boogie, @uptownboogie.la , the Whittier, CA monthly that has kept early-‘80s boogie, modern funk, and disco funk moving in Southeast LA since 2015. He has been a guest on Mamabear’s The Honey Pot on dublab, and he and the Uptown Boogie crew have shared bills with the Funkmosphere, Activate LA, Curious Entertainment Funk Fest, Starcreature, and Austin Boogie Crew families, including Modern Funk Fest LA.
