I am so incredibly proud of this dressing room/primary ensuite! We had to work with structural limitations in here but managed to re-work the space to add storage and improve flow. We created a strong statement with this stunning but calm wisteria wallcovering on the front of the new custom floor to ceiling walnut wardrobes and installed a vanity in place of a decorative fireplace. The free standing Calacatta viola marble is a moment on its own and we paired this with a chevron walnut floor. The alabaster pendant above gives a nod to the veining of the marble elsewhere. Round the corner you enter the shower zone which is wall to wall in marble and a stunning hand made tile. Paired with unlacquered brass fittings and a floating heated seat, it creates an ultimate luxury hammam escape for our clients.

The window dressings were purposefully restrained with a wool curtain, lined and interlined of course, With a trim down the leading edge and a cute contrast cross detail across the triple pinch pleat header. We used a stunning patterned sheer in here too to add to the gorgeous layering and it adds to that sense of calm luxury, whether being used day or night. taken in Bowdon, Cheshire, United Kingdom by @thespacemaker_interiors

In the quiet stillness of the primary bedroom - we wanted to create an oasis of calm for our clients. A space of indulgence and retreat from busy lives. We wrapped the room in a gorgeous textured wallcovering and re-upholstered their bed in a stunning Scottish linen and wool blended fabric. Scatters of cashmere velvet and raw jungle silk dress the bed. We used layered window dressings with lancé-découpé sheers for their ethereal quality. A peak onto the ultimate indulgence on the final slide in my favourite room! taken in Bowdon, Cheshire, United Kingdom by @thespacemaker_interiors

In the formal lounge of our #wolfwater project our client has already commissioned these beautiful and bold window dressings from an ikat inspired fabric and paired it with #ovalroomblue by @farrowandball so our challenge was to bring the room together. We had two very different sofas made with the intention to create a collected look. One more upright and traditional but upholstered in a contemporary hand dyed fabric and the other lower and more modern with a beautiful @mulberry_home fabric, finished off with a trimmed skirt and silk fringe on the bolsters. We re-worked their ottoman to create a central anchor in the space with a beautiful stripe and velvet combination. The light fittings were specifically chosen to zone each space with the living and seating areas in the bay window to ensure they felt distinctive.

We finished it off with a gorgeous wool and sisal custom rug adding another layer of cosiness and texture. taken in Bowdon, Cheshire, United Kingdom by @thespacemaker_interiors

We have a deep seated love for colour and use it prolifically and unapologetically in our projects. We believe colour imparts a sense of mood, an energy and a personality to a space that can seldom be achieved by any other means. Bring it in through paint, textiles, wall coverings, rugs or art, one way or another, it's there...

If this is a bit of you... Say hey 👋🏼 taken in Altrincham by @thespacemaker_interiors

Signing off the week with this cutest little WC. When people say small cannot be beautiful - I show think of spaces like this. We have created a functional but beautiful WC with T&G panelling and a stunning wallcovering above. The cutest sunburst ceiling light and a custom roman blind that dresses the window beautifully - We used a trim as a header and a shaped bottom pocket with a lovely little metal bead detail! Unlacquered brass gracefully gathering patina and and a beautiful mirror and artwork to finish it off.

So I say, YES! Small can be beautiful! taken in Bowdon, Cheshire, United Kingdom by @thespacemaker_interiors

Here are some of the finer details from our #wolfwater project. We chose a stunning honed Taj Mahal quartzite with an ogee edge detail for the counter tops that marries perfectly with the refreshed colours on the cabinets and the stunning brassware.

In the niches we chose to have a protruding bullnose detail. Again keeping things soft, gentle and clean. There is a little swoop up of the upstand behind the sink which makes it cup the built in shelving unit above. It's these little details that just make this kitchen feel so much more considered and cohesive. taken in Bowdon, Cheshire, United Kingdom by @thespacemaker_interiors

In the kitchen at our Wolfwater project we were blessed with great bones so opted to update it with new flooring, paintwork, brassware, stone, pendants, upholstery and window dressing. Almost a new kitchen!

The result, in my opinion, is a quietly luxurious warm and generous kitchen. The hub of the home, connected and harmonious whilst maintaining elegance and charm.

We had to work around this existing shelving cabinet above the sink so opted to scoop up the upstairs to meet it in an elegant curve. Just enough to give it a gentle cuddle and make it feel more connected and harmonious.

Bullnose niches on either side of the Aga are joyfully practical and beautiful. We paired this with an ogee edge on the countertops to keep things gently linked while playful.

I love this colour combination. The rich conker red on the island, muted and determined at the same time, matched with the deliciously warm neutral on the perimeter cabinetry, I feel, works so well with the stunning honed Taj Mahal quartzite countertops, rubbed brass hardware and french limestone floors.

We have around 6 different hardware specifications in this space. Different sizes and styles all specifically chosen to pair with a corresponding cabinets door size. This is in contrast to the previous iteration of the hardware schedule that had less variety, which I feel isn't as interesting or considered.

As a rule we like to have a pull that is around 60% the size of the drawer front. Knobs on cupboard doors that don't require much force, and proper appliance pulls on tall/big doors. taken in Bowdon, Cheshire, United Kingdom by @thespacemaker_interiors

This is a super little girl's bedroom that we designed. We had a great time selecting elegant fabrics for the window dressings, bed canopy, and headboard. The beautifully stylish custom wardrobes add additional storage whilst the wall lights liberate the bedsides.

The super useful desk/vanity hobby area is going to be much loved by the client's daughter as she grows up. We placed fabric covered pin boards in the corner to hold her memories and lots of storage for her favourite bits. Carefully hidden integrated LEDs mean that additional task lighting can be added depending on what she's up to 🤓👩🏼‍💻

I'm so glad the client was happy for us to choose this fabric, which is a playful printed linen based on a famous otomi embroidery of Mexico, but this has been reimagined in an English version using woodland animals and plants. We added the contrast border of this beautiful teal linen and fun pom-poms on the edge. We also added a stunning wool sheer blind which helps to filter the light, create daytime privacy and also insulate the heritage windows.

In the ensuite, a little tabbed cafe curtain with the same beautiful wool sheer fabric adds the perfect level of privacy whilst maintaining that lovely garden view.

Custom wardrobes flank either side of the bed and whilst we were limited on space here but we managed to put in two little wall mounted bedside tables which work really beautifully 😁 taken in Bowdon, Cheshire, United Kingdom by @thespacemaker_interiors
