I’m 54.

I’ve had a successful career, walked away from it, started over, raised two kids, built a business, been married for 31 years…and somehow I’m STILL figuring things out. 😂

But there are definitely some things I understand now that I wish I understood a whole lot sooner.

I’m still learning. Still changing my mind. Still trying things I’m not very good at. Still working on myself.

And I think I actually like this version of me a whole lot more.

What do you understand now that you wish you knew at 40? by @thestacykramer

Hit the FOLLOW if you are approaching or over 50 and still not done!

Apparently I’m a woman over 50 now. Still not completely sure how that happened. 😂
But I’m actually really loving this stage of life.

I’m learning how to build more muscle, navigate menopause, take better care of my aging skin, eat enough protein without living on chicken, get better at pickleball without completely losing my mind 😂 and figure out what I want this next part of my life to look like.

I’ve also learned that I don’t have to have everything figured out before I try something new.
I definitely don’t.

So this account is going to be a little bit of all of it. What I’m learning, what’s working, what isn’t, things I’m trying and probably a few things nobody warned me about after 50.

If you’re somewhere in this stage too, stick around.

I think we’re just getting to the good part. ❤️ by @thestacykramer

When I say my energy has made a huge shift, it’s an understatement!

I used to have 2 or 3 cups of coffee a day to try to get through and was still falling asleep to my favorite Hulu series.

Here’s what I’ve realized… I was actually messing up my adrenals and destroying my body’s own energy production.

Now I no longer get the afternoon slump and can actually get through a full episode without falling asleep. Eric loves that he doesn’t have to remind me what happened the night before because I dozed off mid episode.  LOL

Curious what I’ve changed? Comment ENERGY and I’ll send you the details! ⚡ by @thestacykramer

We workout to be healthier for our kids and our future grandkids.

And hello?! Who wants to be on meds and in a nursing home?

It’s about being able to stay active and enjoy travel, playing pickleball, hiking and all the things.

Why do you choose to workout? Or if you aren’t currently, what could be your motivation? by @thestacykramer

I didn’t lose my ambition. I just got a lot more intentional about what I’m working so hard FOR.

At 54, I still have big goals, love a challenge and want to build something meaningful.

But these days, success isn’t just about what I accomplish. It’s about the life I get to enjoy along the way.

And I’m definitely not done building. 😉

Curious…has your definition of success changed over the years?

Somewhere after 50, sleep went from being the thing I sacrificed to get more done to something I actually protect because I can tell the difference now. And it’s actually helped me get more done.

It affects how I feel when I wake up, how I show up for my workout, my patience, energy and mood. Apparently younger me thought going to bed early meant I was boring.

Current me thinks being well rested is a flex. 😂

What time are you going to bed these days?

I didn’t realize how much my aging skin was starting to affect my confidence.

After turning 50 and going through menopause, I started believing that as my skin aged, I just needed more.

I was adding more products, using more aggressive ingredients and even thinking about some pretty high-cost treatments.

I was so embarrassed by the loss of firmness and the turkey neck I seemed to have acquired overnight. I’d see a picture of myself and all I would see was my sagging neck. When I was talking to someone in person, I was certain they were looking at my neck the whole time.

I hate admitting that because I KNOW aging is a privilege, but I can believe that and still want to feel confident when I look in the mirror.

About two months ago, I started taking an internal product with clinical-strength peptides, and more recently added two high strength peptide topicals, replacing the numerous other products I had on my bathroom counter. I’m finally feeling like maybe it wasn’t that I needed more.

Maybe I just needed the right few things with enough of the key ingredients to make a difference.

That’s what has me so fascinated by what I’m learning right now about peptides, skin signaling and approaching beauty from both the inside AND the outside.

For the first time in a while, instead of feeling like I’m fighting against my aging skin, I’m excited about what’s possible for it. by @thestacykramer

You don’t have to be the Insta-perfect person to do what I do. I am living proof. 😂

What you see online is almost always the highlight reel with the perfect caption, cutesy outfit and the polished post.

And I get why you think you could never do it.  I would too if I didn’t know what really goes on behind the scenes.

Here’s what I want you to know. You don’t have to be or even become that person.

You can be the goofy one, the fun one or the mostly awkward one, or the one who is real and not perfectly curated and still build something you’re really proud of.

In fact, I think people are starving for more of that right now - real!  Real is the new rare peeps!!

Maybe the person people actually need to hear from is you.

❤️ Consider this your permission slip to stop waiting until you feel more “ready” to do the thing you’ve been thinking about.

I used to think maybe I just wasn’t good enough to be as successful as other people.

I’d watch women build big businesses, speak on stages, get recognized for what they were creating and think, good for them. Underneath I had the thought that it probably wasn’t in the cards for me.

That’s a hard truth for me to admit because I had been successful in my corporate career. I knew how to lead and how to get results. The transition from corporate to business ownership challenged me in completely different ways.

Showing up day after day and feeling like the results aren’t matching the effort is hard.  And continuing to show up takes grit.

I’m still learning this one and also done deciding that what’s “in the cards for me” is based on what I haven’t accomplished yet.

Maybe you needed this reminder today too. ❤️ by @thestacykramer
