Today for @berlinartweek I was able to make it to the famous art bunker, @boroscollection, a legitimate fortress of art. I really dug the abstract symbolism of Pol Taburet. You know me, I’m a huge fan of prints, and his were ethereal and emotional. He also dabbled in painting and sculpture. His bold colors and textures created such messy stories with limited palettes. I had to go back and stare at the prints before I left one last time. Maybe I’ll put some in the comments for less frenetic viewing (my edit blasts through ADHD style).
The Neue Nationalgalerie is Berlin’s art star museum. It where the Cattelan exhibit just opened up. (He’s the guy who made millions duck taping the banana to the wall). He has a controversial baby kneeling Hitler and a bunch of other deep symbolism in his new show, but I didn’t go for that.
Out back on the windows was a performance where people suspended basically walked back and forth. Call me spoiled, but @bandaloopstudios are sideways acrobats, so seeing people just walk back and forth with no story line or much variation was quite boring. I distracted myself by drawing the scene with watercolor markers. by @thestrackstacks

I guess this is a warning. I intend on a metamorphosis.

I got rid of a house full of things which resulted in there being more space in my brain. Now I’m trying on a new hemisphere and I find myself wondering who I am and who I can be. That makes me take stock of who I have been and what I’d like to improve upon. The “in retrospect” of it all.
But not in a maudlin way, just with seeing what I can use to jump off and maybe be honest with how my work ethic has been. I think I’ve been a bit casual and while I will always be slapping things together, I really feel a refinement era approaching. I guess this is a warning. I intend on a metamorphosis. by @thestrackstacks
