Captain Ethan Edwards, John Wayne's character in The Searchers is Ethan Bourbon Castro's namesake. It's been three weeks since @bahwoo and I brought him home from @outlawminis.

Ethan is an American Shepherd, a derivative of the Australian Shepherd, but slightly smaller. Make no mistake, they are still herding dogs and you can see it with how he herds his toys.

I never thought I'd baby talk a dog, but here I am. Wanted a dog for so long. Last year I thought I wasn't ready, but we fell in love with his older brother Buck but he was gone shortly thereafter. When we saw Ethan early January we were pretty sure he was the one. It's been An incredible three weeks learning who he is. The puppy kisses and the tail wags, the amount of joy he has.

A nice trip into the mountains to visit with @utahwarriorsrugby. Learned a lot and got a lot done. Great to see what they're building towards in the 2023 season under Greg Cooper.

Then got to catch up with my friend and colleague @emmablack5 who gave me another fab trail recommendation.

Funniest quote of the weekend "Our husbands talk a lot."

Some post Christmas and January shots. Got to have a "White Christmas" in Flagstaff, which was super fun. Drove up into the San Gabes on Glendora Ridge Road before we drove to Flag after our flight was canceled. The Grand Canyon in Snow was pretty epic. Probably a once in a lifetime experience. Then some shots from this year's work shoot. by @thestrodog

Thirty Four. Went all the way with a loaded weekend of culture and sports. Attended the Symphony, a Stars game, Baylor Game, and a stick. Then walked into some green notebooks in my office. by @thestrodog

Utah photo dump. It's been a long season. In many ways I needed to come up here, and not just because of work. It was great connecting with friends, enjoying great food, and watching some Rugby. We're six weeks away from the @usmlr draft so when @n.a.benson invited me up to watch @0bigpapasparks0 and @nick_colling do work on @collegiaterugbyshield I said yes. Then Brandon asked me if I would participate in the athlete workshops on Friday which I did happily although maybe I adlibbed too much! Nick did a great job as Director of the first Collegiate Rugby Shield.

@utahwarriorsrugby did something for the University Pathway athlete hadn't seen yet. A true "Senior Bowl" with a mixture of underclassmen there was talent on show. The match was on @fs1 last night followed by a replay on #FS2 this morning, and will be available #ondemand on @therugbynetwork this evening. The match will be coded and all MLR teams provided stats from the game as well as specific combine numbers. Also got some Cortado's in because yes.

Also great catching up with @emmablack5 who recommended the raddest morning hike. taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @thestrodog

Well, 21 weeks is now done and dusted. Just finished season 5 for @usmlr, first one as Competitions Manager. A lot craziness this season but wouldn't have it any other way. Congratulations to @rugbyunitedny on taking home their first MLR Shield.

#PhotoDump from a much needed getaway trip with the crew. Just the tame stuff, but we did #laissezlesbontempsrouler in #neworleans. Have to say that NOLA is a great place for a #RugbyTour and we had a great trip for us. Probably needed to talk less about work...but hey, didn't stop us from having a good time. Really enjoyed the hospitality of @nolagoldrugby and the first class fan experience that they provided. #worktrip #vacation #slowitdown by @thestrodog
