Latter Day Saint women should be the first to stand against abortion.

Saints in Idaho! Join me in defending the unborn!!

Those of you that feel offended by the official Church letters condemning Idaho Prop 1 and Nevada abortion issues—I urge you to reexamine your ideology and your faith. Which informs which? Often times they are incompatible. Which will you choose between?

Hey guys, it’s Maddy! ❤️

There are so many new friends following, I wanted to reintroduce myself 🤗

I’m 27, I’m a wife, a mother, and a believer. I grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico 🌶️ I attended St. Michael’s Catholic school 7th-12th grade, experienced mass in the oldest church in America, and graduated inside a basilica cathedral ✨

My time in New Mexico were some of the hardest years of my life, as I was one of only a few members of the Church in the community, but I wouldn’t trade that time for anything. Needless to say, my Catholic education and experience has been one of the most significant factors in my coming to understand the reality of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ 🕊️

I studied archaeology at BYU Provo before marrying my husband and finishing school at BYU-Idaho with a BA in history/minor in art history 🤓 I am a full blown nerd!

I became a mom in 2023 to my sweet little boy ❤️

With so much evil and darkness in the world, my initial reaction was to block it out. I deleted all my social media in 2024. But, in recent months, I felt a burning prompting to ADD my voice to the world, instead of ignore the world.

So here I am, hoping and praying I can make some kind of impact in defending the Kingdom of God 👊🏼 I’m humbled by the support I’ve received in just two weeks of being here…we are just getting started ✨

With so many new friends, I wanted to reshare what this is all about ✨

Just as a house built on sand will inevitably “wash away” with the rain, so too will our faith collapse in the storms of life if it is not anchored on a sure foundation.

At the center of it all, Jesus Christ is The Sure Foundation. He is called “the chief cornerstone,” from Him comes all truth and light 🕊️

It is our task to discern the truth from the myriad of misconceptions, false advertisements, and misleading opinions that would have us build upon the sand, and then when our foundation buckles, demand we “deconstruct” it all to nothing.

Give your faith its best chance by building it upon truth and upon Christ. 💖

Don’t build your foundation of understanding the world on feminist presuppositions.

“…remember remember that is it upon the ROCK of our Redeemer, who is CHRIST—that ye must build your FOUNDATION—which is a SURE foundation…”

Are women *actually doing better with less religion?? Deeply engrained feminist belief systems are making women abandon marriage and religion, the two things correlated with *better outcomes for women’s mental health, happiness and so much more.

Don’t listen to the fear mongering. The data does NOT support the narrative that abortion bans put women at greater risk. Latter Day Saints should oppose abortion. It is not morally justifiable.

Me and Luke Hanson go into depth debunking some common claims about abortion, what it means to uphold agency, and Idaho Prop 1. Link to the episode is in my bio 🫶🏼 #latterdaysaints #mormonism #idahoprop1 #prolifewomen #womensrightsarehumanrights by @thesurefoundation

Mormonism has become more than a religious topic online, it has become part of the attention economy.

Mormon related content has generated billions of views across social media, while documentaries, podcasts, reality shows, movies and creators continue discovering something important:

Mormonism gets attention. And attention has value.

Views become followers. Followers become influence. Influence can become revenue.

That doesn’t mean every critic is dishonest or every criticism is propaganda. But it does mean we should recognize when information is being marketed to us.

Sensationalism. Mockery. Exaggeration. Misrepresentation. Quote-mining. Oversimplified history. Loaded language. Missing context. Provocative thumbnails.

Sometimes the most viral version of a story isn’t the most accurate one, it’s simply the version most likely to make you click.

So don’t let an algorithm decide what you believe.

Listen to opposing arguments. Check primary sources. Study the historical context. Understand what Latter-day Saints actually believe before accepting someone else’s characterization of those beliefs.

And ultimately, our invitation as Latter-day Saints isn’t:

“Take our word for it.”

It’s the invitation Christ Himself extended:

“Come and see.” John 1:46

Study. Ask questions. Pray. Seek truth. Seek revelation.

Don’t just learn about our faith from people telling you why they left it, or even from people telling you why you should believe it.

Come and see for yourself.

Trying to blame Mormonism for the often bizarre behavior of the SLOMW is not logically panning out.

Advocating for abortion from a position of having been born is the ultimate power trip. All life is worthy of the opportunity to be born. I’m glad your mother chose life for you, let’s stop seeking to take that away from others 🫶🏼🫶🏼 VOTE NO ON PROP 1 IDAHO

Please share for the Saints in Idaho!

“Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life’s Star, Hath had elsewhere its setting, And cometh from afar:
Not in entire forgetfulness, And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of glory do we come From God, who is our home...”
