Government tech to scaling rich girl brands online, and here’s exactly how I did it:

1. YouTube university.

At this point I have a masters in sourcing information for whatever question I have on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Google, Chat, or Claude. Learning how to ask the right questions in the beginning genuinely is half of the test of starting a new venture! The info you need is 100% out there, just make sure you’re actively learning it instead of doom scrolling it 🥂

2. Absolute audacity.

I pitched my first client 3 years ago with 0 experience at a networking event. I told them what I’d been working on, what I saw in their processes that needed fixing, and what I could do for them. I closed the deal. The biggest take away from this that I STIL use today? Clients don’t care about your track record as much as they care about being SEEN, HEARD, and FELT. You got results for Nia? Cool. But did you take the time to sit with Megan’s offers, look at how they work together, what she’s trying to build, where she’s doing amazing, where people might be getting stuck, and what you can implement for HER that would change HER business completely? No…you just went in for the pitch…

Always, always, always, study the client first. That’s what I’m known for in all my deals and why they trust me by the end of the call!

3. Borderline crazy delusion.

Ask anyone in my personal life and they’ll tell you I might be one of the most delusional people they’ve ever met. For me? That’s my super power. I’ve never been in a scenario where having delusions faith in my own abilities, in Gods plan, or in a little bit a whimsy to come through hasn’t paid off. I’ve either A. Gotten what I wanted (like traveling to almost every dream destination I’ve had since I was a little girl over the past 2 years) or learned something extremely valuable (like the art of falling in love with failure. Fail fast, fail forward, fail often).
