Actual colour of the water from the viewpoint - no edits Phugtal Monastery is a 15th-century Tibetan Buddhist monastery built into a sheer cliff face around a natural cave in the remote Lungnak Valley of Zanskar, Ladakh, India. The name comes from the Zangskari words Phuk (cave) and Tal or Thal (at leisure or liberation), translating to “the cave of leisure” or “the cave of liberation”. Founded in the early 12th century by Gangsem Sherap Sampo, with the main structure established in the 15th century, it is designed like a honeycomb of mud, wood, and stone sticking out of a rocky gorge above a tributary of the Lungnak River. #trek #phugtal #purne #travel #hike Entry signboard Bikes parked. The majestic Gombo Rangon of the zanskar region! At 14000 ft, this spectacle is just 150 kms from manali and is part of the route that is usually skipped by most ladakh tours. Heck, this was my first time visiting here even after having done 5 trips to ladakh earlier. The roads are fully paved now, and i’m jealous of the people that took this route when it was fully gravel. The chandigarh - Keylong stretch is a relatively quick 330km 7hr journey but the road gods had other plans for us, specifically the rider with the 390 adv R. 2 back to back punctures saw us get our patience tested and the ride delayed by 6 hours. The 18 inch rear tube type rim is a pain in the ass to get on and off, especially without dedicated equipments, which weren’t readily available in the mandi manali roadside highway and the mechanics taking things easy at their own pace. Stayed back with the rider who had the puncture and reached the hotel at 11pm, wherein a 5pm checkin should’ve been ideal. #roadtrip #ladakh #motorcycles #ktm390advr #tubeless taken in Manali, Himachal Pradesh by @thetintedvisor

Marsimikla - you beauty! Maverick’s first snow experience and how! Made it to the checkpost 15 mins before entry closing time and the climb was so worth it! Witnessed army bunkers at the top, paid respect to the fallen jawans and recited a small prayer at the temple for successfully making to the farthest point a civilian can go north of pangong. The snow started belting on the way down and one rider ended up bleeding from his nose. Got him indoors to safety, and the jawans served us some hot chai. The boots were soaking wet with the snow and even the double winter socks + waterproof socks combo was getting tested in the -5c conditions that we encountered! #ktm390adventure #marsimikla #ladakh #adventure #snow taken in Marsimik La by @thetintedvisor
