šŸŽ™ļø Unmuted, the podcast that amplifies voices
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
(šŸ‡«šŸ‡·šŸ‘‡šŸ½) Link Spotify in bio
Episode 10 of Unmuted is live — and honestly, it’s one of the most beautiful conversations I’ve recorded.

Meet @oriane.garcia : autistic, hypersensitive, brutally funny, unbelievably sharp.
She talks about masking, late diagnosis, understanding herself, humour as survival, and why ā€œwe can’t say anything anymoreā€ is… well, not what people think.

It’s tender. It’s raw. It’s smart. It’s hilarious.
And it’s the perfect way to close Season 1.

šŸŽ§ Go listen — you’ll feel seen.

On a parlé :

šŸ“² It started with a note on my phone:
ā€œCreate a podcast.ā€
March 2024. A quiet dream. A maybe-one-day.

Fast forward → my daughter is 18 months old, and Unmuted is real.
šŸŽ™ 8 episodes out. 2 more on the way.
šŸ”„ Topics we don’t sugarcoat: racism, feminism, identity, mental health, neurodiversity, power, privilege…

This isn’t ā€œjustā€ a podcast.
It’s a safe space. A counter-narrative.
A place where we exist and resist.

Season 2?
šŸ‘€ New co-host.
šŸŽ„ New format (yes, we’re going video).
Same mission: amplifying our voices.

Thank you for showing up, listening, and sharing space with me and my guests. šŸ’›

šŸ’¬ What do you want us to talk about in Season 2? Drop it below.

šŸŽ™ļøWe talk a lot about DEI. But are we really doing it?
New episode of #Unmuted just dropped!

And this one is for the organizations that say inclusion matters… but still treat it like a side project.

I had the immense pleasure of speaking with Professor Claudia Toma, whose work is as razor-sharp as it is necessary. Together, we unpack why so many DEI strategies feel hollow, and what it really takes to make an impact, beyond the usual training sessions and mission statements.

Claudia doesn’t sugarcoat it:
Some organizations are just not ready for DEI.
And pretending otherwise? That’s worse than doing nothing.

We talk about:
ā— What the research says about intergroup dynamics and DEI outcomes
ā—Why ā€œdoing the right thingā€ isn’t enough without a clear why
ā—How decoupling is killing DEI credibility from the inside
ā—The most common (and dangerous) forms of resistance
ā— And yes… whether or not ā€œyou can still say anything anymoreā€

This episode is bold, bridges academic & field, and a little bit unsettling.
Just how I like it.

Claudia, thank you for your clarity, your brilliance, and your honesty.
Go listen. Share it with your leadership team. Let it shake something.

🧠 Yesterday was World Autism Awareness Day

But awareness isn’t enough. Especially when so many still feel the need to hide who they are, just to survive at work.

šŸŽ™ļø In this new episode of Unmuted, we share the anonymous story of ā€œVictoriaā€, a brilliant lawyer who is also autistic.

Because speaking openly still comes with risks, she asked to remain unnamed, a choice that in itself says a lot.

We talk about:

šŸ“¢ The stereotypes that erase autistic women, who are often overlooked or misdiagnosed

šŸ“¢ The exhausting reality of masking: acting ā€œneurotypicalā€ just to belong

šŸ“¢ The link between masking, chronic stress and burnout

šŸ“¢ The cycle: overachieve, crash, repeat, while organizations benefit from neurodivergent strengths but ignore their needs

šŸ“¢ Hypersensitivity in the workplace: lights too bright, constant interruptions, no quiet spaces

And most importantly, how to build a way of working that’s sustainable and human

Let’s be clear:

🧠 Neurodiversity means recognizing that people’s brains work differently and that’s not something to fix.

🧠 Celebrating autism while forcing autistic people to mask is not inclusion.

🧠 Change starts when organizations adapt, not when individuals are pressured to fit in.

šŸŽ§ Tune in to Victoria’s story, a voice that speaks for so many others still left unseen.

āš ļø Audio disclaimer: Due to a technical issue, the sound may be slightly crisp at times. Thank you for your understanding.

New episode of Unmuted with @juliemarinower! (in French!)šŸŽ™ļø

In this conversation, we dive deep into the intersections of identity, feminism, and allyship, without filters.
Julie shares her experiences as a Jewish woman navigating white passing privilege, sexism, and internalized misogyny, all while challenging the systems that shape our workplaces and society.

Topics we unpack:
šŸ”„ The patriarchy & leadership programs for women
šŸ›‘ Workplace sexism & microaggressions
šŸŽ Performative allyship vs. real coalition
āš–ļø Anti-racism, feminism and the role of Jewish identity
šŸ“¢ "You can’t say anything anymore" : the weaponization of free speech
šŸ¤ True allyship means being the one who says STOP

Julie’s insights remind us of a crucial truth: opening the door for others does not mean less for you. Inclusion is not a zero-sum game.

šŸŽ§ Tune in now & let’s keep the conversation going!

šŸŽ™ļø Unmuted Episode 5 – Why DE&I still matters with Luc Vandemoortele
Six months ago, when I sat down with Luc to record this episode, we had no idea what was coming.

šŸŒ©ļø No idea how much the world would shift, how #DEI would be pushed even further to the sidelines, how the rights of minorities (hard-won, never guaranteed) would feel more fragile than ever.

ā˜” Luc is one of the most positive people I know. He carries hashtag#hope like a lantern, lighting the way even when the road feels uncertain.
But even he, even me, even all of us doing this work, sometimes feel the weight of it. The weight of knowing that progress is not a straight line, that inclusion is still something we have to defend, that rights can be rolled back faster than they were granted.

šŸ’§ And yet, Luc reminds me : every drop counts.
His belief in change, in the power of action, in people is unwavering.
This episode isn’t just a conversation about #antiracism, #quotas or workplace #discrimination.
It’s a reminder that even when the world feels like it’s moving backward, we don’t have to.

🌈 We keep pushing. We keep planting. We keep standing tall.
Because one day, all these drops, ours, his, yours, will turn into something bigger.

šŸŽ§ Tune in now, and let’s keep moving forward, together.

šŸŽ™ļø Unmuted Episode 4 : Last one before our Winter Break!

I had the privilege of speaking with @sarraelma, journalist and project manager at @adim_mediadiversite, she's also producer of @nos.heritages podcast.

Sarra shares her powerful perspective as a racialized woman navigating the journalism and cultural industries.

Spaces often dominated by stereotypes and systemic biases.

We dive into:
āš–ļøThe tension between journalistic "neutrality" and the need for inclusion

šŸƒ The pressures of speed in modern journalism and its role in spreading bias and fake news

šŸ’š The urgent need for safe spaces where voices can be heard and respected

Sarra’s testimony reminds us that inclusion isn’t optional. It’s essential for shaping industries that reflect the diversity of our societies.

šŸŽ§ Tune in to Unmuted now and join the conversation.

šŸŽ™ļø Unmuted Episode 3 is here!

This week, I’m sitting down with DE&I expert Claudia Nigeon (She/Her/Hers), CDP, who shares her powerful perspective as a Black woman navigating the workplace.

We tackle:
šŸŒŖļø #Intersectionality – How overlapping identities shape unique experiences for BIPOC individuals

šŸ„‡#Tokenism – When diversity is reduced to a checkbox, not genuine inclusion

🌱#MentalHealth – The often-unspoken impact of exclusion on well-being and resilience.

Claudia’s insights are raw, real, and thought-provoking. She challenges us to move past surface-level diversity.
