2028 RHP @k_ngstonweb1 had a productive summer on the farm. Played less summer ball this year which gave us the space to build the adaptations we wanted, and time to recover / repeat. 🧘
•
We spent a good chunk of the program in a velo phase... working on improving his shuffle throws / pulldowns. This challenged his athleticism & built a new level of body awareness that carried over to the mound. By the end of the summer he's hitting 83 consistently in bullpens & still climbing. 85 is coming soon. Keep workin kid 🫡🌾📈

2029 RHP @reecerosko21 figured some things out this summer on the farm🌾 Command and velo improved after each session. Reece finished the summer topping 87 on his fastball. 📈 Not bad for a 2029. Much more in the tank for this guy. Keep workin Rosko💥

Our Summer Program yielded great results across the board for all of our athletes. One of our biggest velo jumps came from @alexguess20 who went from T90 - T95mph in the matter of 2 months.📈
•
Alex is a converted catcher, who threw pretty well from behind the plate. Decided to go all in on pitching this summer, and got after it with us 4 days per week. We worked hard in the weight room, and did a ton of practice on the mound to build up his feel of throwing on the slope. Alex is a very explosive athlete, and rotates hard af. Sometimes too hard. Building his breaks, and developing the repeatability of his delivery was at the top of our to-do list.🦾
•
One month in, he was up to 93 at our scout day. (Which got him signed to Harford CC.) Then a month later, he was up to 95 in game 1 of our World Series. Very stoked about this kid’s progress, and proud of the work he put in. Told me day 1 that he wanted to hit 95 and go to Harford next year… both goals were accomplished within 70 days. Still a ton of work to do, but we are on our way. Looking forward to seeing this guy back at the farm after Fall Ball Season is over. Keep working Guess!🌾

The art of playing catch.

Playing catch is sacred. It requires connection & being fully present. Every throw is an opportunity to learn & get better. High quality catch play is at the foundation of what we teach.

There is freedom in catch play.🎨
Especially out here on the Farm.🌾

It is a joy of mine to watch our athletes throw the ball back and forth on the pasture. Like this clip of twin brothers @jaxmay3 and @logan.may99 longtossing. It's such a blessing to have this amount of freedom to throw & build your arm strength here at The Velo Farm.

Send this post to your throwing partner, grab your gloves, and get outside to throw 🫡

What a week. Thank you to all the players who came out & competed with us on the farm. It was great seeing some old faces & some new ones as well. The City Boys put together a solid team & grinded til the last out. They respected the game, played hard, and gave us a run for our money.🏃⚾️
•
We are thankful for everyone who has watched, liked, or interacted with our World Series posts. We have some more #content on the way, as well as full game recaps dropping on Youtube soon 🎥🫡
