DJ Lessons with @thevinylworkshop 🪩✨💿 | Gifted experience | THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO FIND A NEW HOBBY! 🔊

Had an amazing DJ lesson this morning with DJ Pete (aka @disorda ) at The Vinyl Workshop 🎧🔥

His passion, knowledge and experience are on another level, and I came away having learned so much in just one session 👏

All genres including Reggae, Hip Hop, Jungle, drum and bass, dubstep, house, RnB, funk, soul… he really has everything!! 💿

The workshop is easy to get to, a stones throw from the city centre with parking seconds away 📍

Aside from his busy schedule teaching and Dj-ing at @growroomspeakeasy at @helchwinchester 🍃, Pete does incredible work supporting local young people through @winchester.street.reach … so if you’re looking to support a local legend and learn a new skill at the same time, book in ✌️

If you’ve ever wanted to learn to DJ, I can’t recommend it enough. 🙌

Dave on the selection! In for the first time and entered with a usb loaded with Deep House gems. We worked through a mix he’d put together and assisted on him with a better understanding of the Rekordbox software, and exporting of songs in the correct way. Great work and tunes! One of yours in the mix too my friend… @south_beach_recycling_sfsb 👊🏼 taken in Winchester, Hampshire by @thevinylworkshop

Woke up after a five hour DJ set last night and started listening to a new Acid 7” I’d bought, grabbed a few more, decided to record a quick mix before I gave a DJ lesson… 🙂As you do, here ya go! In came Caroline with a request to know all about the Rekordbox DJ software, and Pioneer FLX4 controller that she’s recently purchased. A complete beginner yet avid music lover, already primed with digital playlists she’s half way there. The rest, is down to us here… Firstly we took her to the vinyl decks and handling records, mixing and learning about the faders and start points of each song, whilst having to work out the tempos and break downs of each song by ear. No information is given… you work it out yourself. Digitally… a different story, however if you know what you’re actually doing and have tried vinyl, the process of learning the software and all the information you’re given, becomes a little easier… over time. Patience, a serious face, and bangin’ music is a must. Looking forward to more and taking Caroline further. #thevinylworkshop #djtuition #learntodj #howtodj taken in Winchester, Hampshire by @thevinylworkshop

Great day with Billy inside the studio making use of a two hour taster voucher he’d received recently, mixing it up on both formats and talking to it all with extreme ease. Perfectly mixing two House 12”s together on vinyl and keeping them riding for a decent transition amongst many other hits, and a few misses… Well done! 👊🏼 #thevinylworkshop #learntodj #djskills #howtodj taken in Winchester, Hampshire by @thevinylworkshop
