Lighting an entire interview with nothing but a £25 reflector can sound 'unprofessional', but the truth is, understanding natural light and learning how to work with it is iust as important as working with larger lighting rigs on film sets. One of the biggest mistakes I've made is spending money on expensive equipment before I learned to master the basics. A cheap reflector and colour grading on Davinci resolve can really help to deliver those 'cinematic' results that everyone wants so badly. Shot on the Sony FX3 with my trusty Tamron 28-75 lens. 🎥 taken in Scotland by @thewestmount

There's something about filming in a warehouse that you just can't recreate in a studio... I recently spent the day inside Warehouse 9 at Bunnahabhain, surrounded by casks that have been quietly maturing for years. The earthy floors, that thick whisky-soaked air. Warehouses rarely ever have any plug sockets so you need to be smart with how you light a scene... Thankfully the FX3 is an absolute workhorse in low light. 💡 Shot on the Sony FX3 paired with the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8, which is honestly becoming my go-to combo for this kind of work. This is exactly the kind of brand storytelling I love getting to do for Scottish whisky distilleries. Single malt has a whole world behind it, the cooperage, the warehousing, the people, and capturing that on a proper cinema camera never gets old. Bunnahabhain, thank you for having me.
