The Gospel is not about knowing that there is a God, everything in the world can show us there is a God.

What you call the Good News is “What is the way to that God”.
The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, not miracle, not finances, not fear.

No Good is good enough to give you salvation. Salvation is a miracle that you were dead and now you are alive in Christ.
One of the greatest dangers is the illusion of salvation ,believing that you are born again when, in reality, you have never truly encountered the Gospel.

So many people live for years, identifying as a Christian without truly hearing the Word, believing it in their heart, and confessing Christ with their mouth.

Our salvation did not start when we had the altar call. It started when we heard the Word and believed it.
What is the Good news?
What is the Gospel ?
The Good news is that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again and showed us the way to eternal life.

It’s a new month, so we begin a new teaching series on The Good News with our pastor, Pastor @thewisdomjohn

What better way to begin than by going back to the very heart of our Faith, the Gospel.

What is the Good news?

The Good news begins with the historical reality of the resurrection of Christ
The Gospel is the announcement of what God has accomplished through Jesus Christ in salvation.

The disciples were witnesses of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. They were witnesses of the events of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
[Acts 2:32, Acts 3:15, Acts 5:30-32]

The disciples would have easily absconded from the suffering if it was all a fluke. But they saw him alive. They didn’t simply believe that He rose, they saw Him alive. They witnessed what happened, and their testimony became the foundation of the Gospel.
What then is the implication of the resurrection of Jesus?

↪️ The resurrection changes what we know about eternal life.
It means that death is not the end. It means clearly that there is life after-death.
Jesus is the evidence of eternal life.

↪️ Jesus therefore becomes the only trustworthy voice on Eternal life.

▪️ 3. GIVING IS AN EXPRESSION OF LOVE

Giving is more than an amount.

It is one of the ways our love for God and others becomes visible.

The question is not only, “How much should I give?”

It is also, “What is God’s heart and purpose for giving?”

▪️ 4. GIVING MUST BE WORSHIP

Proverbs 3:9
2 Corinthians 9:6–7

New Covenant giving is willing and cheerful.

We give because we honour God with what He has entrusted to us.

✅ Understand the heart behind the instruction
✅ Give from a place of honour
✅ Let your giving reveal Christ
✅ Let your giving become worship

When you understand the Giving Code, giving becomes more than an obligation. It becomes a response to the God who gave first.

Still On Our Theme “Purposefully” Pastor Wisdom @thewisdomjohn gave an insightful charge titled — THE GIVING CODE.

GIVING MUST BE UNDERSTOOD BEYOND THE ACT.

Matthew 23:23

God is not only interested in what we do. He wants us to understand the heart, purpose, and intent behind His instructions.

The goal is not merely to follow the law. It is to understand the One who gave it.

Giving is not just a transaction. It is worship. It is honour. It is love. It is a response to the God who gave first.

There are 4 THINGS WE MUST UNDERSTAND ABOUT GIVING:

▪️ 1. GOD GAVE FIRST

Luke 11:11–13

Before we talk about what we give to God, we must understand that God is a giving Father.

Our giving begins with what we have already received from Him.

▪️ 2. GIVING MUST REVEAL CHRIST

Our giving should reflect the character of Christ.

It should not be driven by fear, manipulation, or compulsion, but by a heart that understands the One we are giving to.

‎There are things we should never trade our convictions for. Purpose requires boundaries and unshakable convictions.

‎Still on our teaching series on PURPOSEFULLY, we learned through our Pastor @thewisdomjohn that your bank statement can reveal what you value, prioritize, and whether you are stewarding your resources in line with your purpose.
‎
‎Part of spiritual growth is understanding the resources God has given us and learning how to steward them well.
‎
‎↪️ PURPOSE GIVES MEANING TO THE RESOURCES IN YOUR HAND
‎Your priorities determine how you spend your time, energy, attention, and money.
‎
‎↪️ SPIRITUAL GROWTH IMPACTS YOUR STEWARDSHIP
‎Growing spiritually includes learning to steward your resources and excel in the grace of giving.
