Elizabeth LeCompte and Kate Valk will join artist Rita Ackermann at @hauserwirth's Wooster St, New York, gallery on October 7 for a public conversation on the occasion of the exhibition "Rita Ackermann. The Chemical Alphabet." They'll discuss their respective practices, as well as the notion of revisiting and transforming past material, and the multiple states of past, present and future that exist within an artist’s practice and works.

Reservations are required, but the event is free. RSVP at the link in our bio.

This year, the Summer Institute – our free performance workshop for NYC students – welcomes guest artist Nikki Calonge (@nikkicalonge).

She performs from downtown to Broadway, and all over the map, most recently in Geoff Sobelle’s [@rainpan] "Clown Show". She teaches movement at Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, at Tisch NYU, as well as yoga, and brings her practice of "creativity, care, rigorous self-investigation, fierce cooperation, and joy in lifelong learning” to her bi-weekly sessions with the Summer Institute.

This year, the Summer Institute is working with voice teacher Atticus Osborn twice a week, and he said it was always ok to make fun of his English accent.

A couple seats just opened at tonight's work-in-progress showing of "L.S.D. (...just the high points...) A Renovation." Get them at the link in our bio.

If they're gone, try the wait list for rush tickets by coming to The Performing Garage. We start making the wait list for each performance outside the theater 30 minutes before curtain (although people often begin lining up before then).
