"Guh Easy. Get home safe. 🚘📸*"

After work this afternoon, I stopped by the 'Guh Easy Pit Stop' at Mega Mart Mandeville, Manchester—an initiative bringing road safety, responsible choices and vehicle road-worthiness checks into one space.

With several major stakeholders from Jamaica's automotive sector and the wider road-safety community on hand, the afternoon was a timely reminder that getting home safely starts long before we turn the key—from maintaining a roadworthy vehicle to making responsible decisions about how we do road. Hopefully this initiative will help to curb the carnage on our roads.

For me, it was also an opportunity to flex my trigger finger a little. 😌📸 Wherever there's a gathering, some interesting faces and my camera in my hand, chances are I'm gonna find something worth framing.

A few moments through my lens from this afternoon's ''Guh Easy Pit Stop'' in Mandeville.

I had an absolutely terrific day at the JCDC Visual Arts Competition Awards Ceremony at Summit Kingston yesterday!

Proudly representing Manchester as the parish’s only finalist in the photography category, I’m honoured to have returned home with six medals—three bronze and three silver—plus a merit award. All seven photo entries received recognition!

Heartfelt thanks to the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission for its commitment to providing such a valuable platform for creative expression and the celebration of Jamaican art. By creating opportunities for the young and the young at heart to express themselves through art, you give so many people a chance to share their talent and have their work recognised.

This experience would not have been possible without the encouragement of my brother and Jaiku Poetry teammate, Dujan “The Prophett” Crossfield, and the support and generosity of family. Much thanks to cousin Willie Chin, Uncle Errol Raymond, and sisters Christina and Sheryl for helping throughout the process of printing and framing my work for the competition.

Thanks to Amaicraft @amaicraftltd for the exquisite custom frames and to Paperboy Ja @paperboyja for the pristine prints! I wholeheartedly recommend both businesses for their top-notch customer service and impeccable quality. I have nothing but thanks and gratitude.

Big up to my friend and fellow medalist, Britney Russell! It was a pleasure sharing this experience with you.

I’m honoured to be part of the Caribbean creative arts ecosystem, representing our region and striving for excellence, class, and quality. We are the present creative crossbearers, charged with preserving and celebrating Caribbean culture through art and expression.

Congratulations to all fellow medalists! You represented your parishes and our nation well. This is a big deal for all of us, and I’m proud to have shared this experience with you. 🇯🇲📸

On the morning of Saturday March 21,2026, I was roaming around the grounds of a restaurant in Willemstad, Curacao capturing all the endemic wildlife that I could because I know we we're leaving the following day.

The Curacao Whiptail Lizard or Laurenti's Whiptail was definitely one of the highlights. Locals call them Lagadishi.

The males have a bright greenish blue color while the females are more brown with pale stripes. Their diets consist primarily of flowers, leaves, fruit and insects such as ants and termites.

They help with seed dispersal as they eat and move around the dry scrublands of the island.
These lizards 🦎 spend the warm daylight hours running around and sunbathing in open areas.

Its cool when you meet fellow creatives. Others challenge you to frame your compositions in unique ways you didn't think of before.

At a recent @jcdcjamaica JCDC Visual Arts judging session, I met photographer and model @decodingwithren Renese Francis.

It turns out we are the sole photographers who submitted for that sub-category in Manchester. This was a simple improptu test shoot. Look out for more intentional collaborations soon.

Welcome to an album of random scenes that I've seen across Jamaica 🇯🇲. From Manchester to St. Andrew, St. Elizabeth, Clarendon and St. Mary, I paused to appreciate the landscape around me.

Images captured between 2024 and 2026 with Panasonic Lumix G9 and various lenses.

This immaculate time capsule of a Ford Escort MK1 1600 GT was spotted at Jamaica Classic Car Club's @jamaicaclassiccarclub Monthly linkup held at Megamart in Mandeville, Manchester on Sunday May 18th.

This machine was definitely a head-turner inside out with its chrome bumpers, Panasport wheels and tasteful period-correct Recaro mesh bucket seats.

The Ford Escort represents rally legacy and is the reason cars like the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Subaru Impreza WRX STI exist today.
