That’s a wrap on “Under the Rug”! I’m so humbled and honored to have had the opportunity to film with such passionate filmmakers. The team and I cannot wait to get this ready for you to see.

If you donated to our Kickstarter, shared our posts, or worked on our set, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. It’s because of you that I’m able to bring stories like these to the forefront. taken in Sacramento, California by @thewriterjules

Okay, maybe ‘buy’ isn’t the right word.

But if you pledge just $1 to our Kickstarter for “Under the Rug”, we’ll include your name in a special “Friends of the Film” section of the end credits.

Independent filmmaking is built on community. Whether you contribute $1 or $100, you’re helping us tell this story and bring our weird little film into the world.

We’re currently 60% funded, and every dollar gets us closer.

What happens when the things we hide become impossible to ignore?

Under The Rug follows a young cobbler with cerebral palsy whose shame takes on a life of its own—growing larger and harder to conceal with every passing day. But when an unexpected connection enters his life, he’s forced to choose between hiding and truly being seen.

A drama-romance about vulnerability, acceptance, and the transformative power of human connection.

As of yesterday, we are 53% funded. If you’ve donated or shared our campaign already, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

If you haven’t, here’s a quick synopsis of the story we’re trying to tell: Aidan Cervantes (Mikey Infante) has just moved into his new home, where an old rug from his parents lies at the center of his space. When a strange lump begins forming beneath it, Aidan spirals into frustration and isolation. Only through new warmth and connection with his mail carrier, Mia Brown (Aspen Janae), does Aidan begin to let go of the weight he’s been carrying.
