POSTS STORIES REELS
Heather & Cardyn were excited to have Rev. Dr. Denise Braxtonbrown-Hollingsworth on The Bitchy Quill podcast. We talked about her book "Hope, Love and Prison" a memoir about her time incarcerated and what she learned, her public speaking, and where you can get her book. We also touched on encouraging people to shop through independent bookstores when possible. Mentioned: @mahoganybooks @loyaltybooks - but there are also other indie bookstores all over so please when you have a book you're interested in call your local indie store and ask them to order it for you. #indiebookstores #indieauthors #prisonstories #memoir #blackbooksmatter @revdrdenise by @thewritewomenbookfest
I had a nice interview on TBQ podcast with @cardynbpresents and @hlbrookswrites - you can find the episode on YouTube. Wanted to mention something we touched on in the episode. If you are able to order my books from a local independent bookstore, please do so. As mentioned in this clip there are several near and in Prince George’s county, including Black owned bookstores like @mahoganybooks and @loyaltybooks #blackbooksmatter #memoir #prisonmemoir by @thewritewomenbookfest

It was great to have T.M. at the book fair this past weekend! ABOUT THE AUTHOR T.M. Kuta (they/xe, also known as Ty) is what happens when feral Trekkies raise a nueurospicy muppet with a steady diet of SF/F, history, and happily ever afters
and then give said muppet a writing utensil, a questionable sense of fashion, and enough caffeine to launch a starship into orbit. Best described as 4.5 excited ferrets in a tacky Hawaiian shirt, T.M. Kuta (they/xe) is a child of fandom who grew up writing fanfiction on Tumblr and somehow ended up the independently published author of contemporary Sapphic romance (A COMMON BOND, ACUTE ROMANTIC EXPOSURE) and queer speculative fiction (CHARGED AND READY, THE DESERT NEEDS RAIN). Don’t worry, they don’t know exactly how they got here, either. Ty can routinely be found ricocheting excitedly around their corner of the internet, screaming about lesbians (among other things). The child of two trekkies who met at a sci-fi convention, Ty grew up on the con circuit, and spends far too much time thinking about the state of fandom as a result. As an author, Ty lives to tell the queer romance and adventure stories they craved as a child. They are also chronically ill, and frequently blog about their experiences with MCAS, POTS/dysautonomia, and the various spices that make up the neurodivergent soup that is their increasingly colander-like brain. T.M.’s favorite things in the world are fishnet shirts, neon-colored clothing, and lifting more than the fuckboys at the gym. Xe live in a historic house on the Eastern Coast of the United States with their three cats, The Tora Bean, Casper the Great and Powerful, and Channing Channing of the Catonsville Channings. When not writing or working their matte job, xe can be found reading, working conventions in cat ears and kilts, and procrastinating @tmkutawrites by @thewritewomenbookfest
