WAIT…
Just because September is over
doesn’t mean you don’t still need
yo prioritize your mental health.
Please,
Allow yourself to take a minute,
Stop what you’re doing.

Close your eyes.

Quiet your mind.

Breathe in deeply.

Exhale slowly.

Repeat.

Life gets busy.
Your mind gets loud.
It’s easy to become overwhelmed.
Sometimes our flame blows out.

But not forever.
Just for a minute.

Losing your flame
doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It allows you to comeback,
Stronger.
Brighter.
More confident.

Give yourself grace.
Don’t make excuses for yourself,
But learn from your mistakes.
Don’t discourage yourself,
But focus on your discipline.

It’s okay to not be okay.
Ask for help.
Reach out.
You are wanted here.

Remind yourself,
The negative thoughts don’t now
and won’t ever define you.
You’re worth love.
You’re worth life.
You’re worth ALL of
the space you take up.
Be yourself unapologetically.

I got tired of feeling like I was at war with myself.

So I got up, paid my dues, and started fighting for the version of me I knew was still in there.

I didn’t want a different body. I wanted to finally feel at home in the one I had.

There was a time when looking in the mirror was something I genuinely dreaded.

I could find a hundred things I hated about myself before I could find one thing I liked. I thought feeling confident meant changing everything I didn’t like until I finally became ā€œgood enough.ā€

But somewhere along the way, I realized the goal was never perfection.

The goal was to feel fucking GOOD when I looked at myself. ✨

And yes, that meant getting stronger.
Taking better care of myself. Building healthier habits.
Pushing myself outside of my comfort zone.
Keeping promises to myself and becoming someone I could be proud of.

But it also meant changing the way I talked to myself.

Because you can want to change without hating who you are right now.

You can have goals without making your current body the enemy.

You can be proud of your progress while still having insecure days.

And if you’re currently struggling to love what you see in the mirror, please know that you are not broken, behind, or unworthy of confidence.

You don’t have to hate yourself into becoming better.

You can build yourself from a place of love, too.

That’s the mission.
Not perfection.
Not becoming someone else.

Just becoming a version of yourself that looks in the mirror and thinks…

DAMN. I fucking did that. ✨

I’m done building a life that looks good from the outside while quietly falling apart on the inside.

For a long time, I thought putting myself first was selfish.

I thought I had to be everything for everyone else. Be easy to understand. Be who people expected me to be. Keep the peace. Hide the hard parts. Pretend I was okay when I really wasn’t.

And somewhere along the way, I stopped asking myself a really important question:

ā€œWhat do I actually want my life to feel like?ā€

September is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this is something I don’t take lightly.

I have a history of struggling with my mental health, anxiety, and some really dark seasons that I never thought I’d make it through. I’ve struggled in ways that people couldn’t always see, and there were times when hurting myself felt easier than dealing with what was happening inside my head.

I’m not sharing that for sympathy.

I’m sharing it because I know I’m not the only person who has felt that way.

And one of the biggest things I’ve learned is that taking care of yourself isn’t something you earn after you’ve taken care of everyone else.

You are allowed to put yourself first.

You’re allowed to choose the people who make you feel safe.

You’re allowed to leave situations that constantly drain you.

You’re allowed to change your mind.

You’re allowed to rest.

You’re allowed to ask for help.

You’re allowed to build a life around what genuinely makes you feel alive instead of what looks impressive from the outside.

Because I don’t want to spend my life performing happiness for other people.

I want real happiness.

Real connection.

Real peace.

A life where I can be goofy, imperfect, emotional, ambitious, soft, strong, and completely myself.

A life that feels like mine.

And if you’re in a dark place right now, please don’t convince yourself that the chapter you’re in is the entire story.

You deserve to stay long enough to see what your life can become.

Put yourself first. Not because everyone else doesn’t matter, but because you matter too.

And sometimes choosing yourself is where everything starts to change.šŸ¦‹

imagine how different your life would be if you stopped being afraid to be yourself.

It’s so easy to become hyperaware of how you’re perceived.

How you look.
How you act.
How you talk.
Whether you’re ā€œtoo muchā€ or not enough.
Whether people will like the real version of you.

And somewhere along the way, you can start editing yourself without even realizing it.

You become quieter when you want to speak.
You hide the goofy parts of your personality.
You second-guess what you post.
You try to look like you have it all together.

But what if you stopped?

What if you let yourself laugh ā€œtoo loudā€, be ā€œweirdā€, love hard, take up space, make mistakes, chase the things that make you happy, and show up exactly as you are?

Not everyone is going to understand you.
Not everyone is going to like you.

And that’s okay.

Because the goal was never to be universally liked.

The goal is to build a life where you don’t have to constantly question whether you’re being ā€œtoo muchā€ just because you’re finally being you.

The right people won’t need you to shrink yourself to fit into their lives.

So let yourself be seen.

Be genuine. Be goofy. Be passionate. Be soft. Be strong. Be imperfect. Be unapologetically yourself.

You don’t need to become more lovable.

You just need to stop hiding the parts of you that already are. ✨

You don’t owe anyone the same version of you forever.

This is your reminder that it’s okay to reinvent yourself.

You are allowed to outgrow the version of you that once felt like home.

You’re allowed to change your habits, your routines, your mindset, your priorities, your boundaries, your goals, and even the way you see yourself.

And sometimes, reinventing yourself doesn’t mean becoming someone completely new. Sometimes it means finally becoming the person you’ve been trying to find underneath everything you’ve already survived.

It’s okay to leave behind what you’ve already survived.

You don’t have to keep carrying old versions of yourself just because they got you through difficult seasons. You can be grateful for who you were while still choosing to become someone different.

Lately, I’ve been focusing less on becoming a ā€œperfectā€ version of myself and more on building a life that actually feels good to live.

Healthier habits. More movement. Better routines. More time doing things that make me feel like myself. Letting go of what no longer serves me and making room for what does.

And honestly, I think there’s something really beautiful about realizing you’re allowed to start over as many times as you need to.

So if your life looks a little different lately, maybe that’s not a bad thing.

Maybe you’re not lost.

Maybe you’re just becoming someone new.
Someone your former self would look up.
Someone you love.šŸ¤

Read this if you’ve been waiting for someone to save you.

You’re going to be waiting for a while.

Because no one is coming to save you.

And I don’t mean that in a harsh way.

I mean it as a reminder that you have more power over your life than you think.

Nobody is going to wake up for you.

Nobody is going to build your discipline for you.

Nobody is going to chase your goals for you.

That part is up to you.

And you don’t need more motivation.

You need discipline.

Because motivation is easy when you’re excited.

Discipline is doing it when you’re tired.

Doing it when you’re sad.

Doing it in the rain.

Doing it alone.

Doing it happy.

Doing it angry.

Doing it scared.

Doing it when nobody is watching.

Doing it anyway.

You’re not always going to feel like going to the gym.

You’re not always going to want to get up early, eat well, or stick to your routine.

And that’s okay.

You can feel tired and still show up.

You can feel scared and still try.

You can have a bad day and still keep your promises to yourself.

That’s discipline.

And discipline isn’t something you wake up with one day.

It’s something you build.

Start small.

Create a routine that actually works for your life.

Put your clothes out the night before.

Schedule your workouts.

Make your goals realistic.

Build habits that make it easier to do the things you need to do.

And most importantly, keep promises to yourself.

Every time you follow through, you build trust with yourself.

You’re going to have bad days. You’re going to fall out of your routine. You’re going to mess up.

Reset. Get back up. Keep going.

Because eventually, you stop waiting for someone to save you and realize you were capable of saving yourself all along.

So yeah…

I’m tired too, twin.

But we have goals to achieve.

Get up and do it anyway. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

My body was never the problem and yours isn’t either. ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

For so long, I thought becoming ā€œhealthierā€ meant becoming smaller. I thought I had to change the way I looked before I could finally feel confident, worthy, or comfortable in my own skin.

I spent so much time looking in the mirror and focusing on everything I wanted to change that I completely overlooked everything my body was already doing for me.

It carried me through the hard days. It showed up when I didn’t feel like showing up. It got stronger, even when I couldn’t see the progress yet.

And somewhere along the way, my definition of fitness started to change.

I stopped going to the gym because I hated my body and started going because I wanted to see what it was capable of.

I stopped looking at food as something I needed to earn or burn off and started seeing it as something my body actually needs.

I stopped believing that rest meant I was lazy or falling behind.

I started realizing that taking care of yourself doesn’t have to come from a place of punishment.

And yes, I still have goals. I still want to get stronger, build muscle, feel confident, and see changes in my body.

But I don’t hate the version of me standing at the starting line anymore.

I can want to grow without believing I’m not enough right now.

I can look at myself and recognize that there are things I want to improve while still appreciating how far I’ve already come.

Because your body doesn’t have to look different for you to deserve respect.

You don’t have to hit a certain weight, PR, clothing size, or body fat percentage before you’re allowed to be proud of yourself.

Your worth was never measured by the number on the scale or the reflection in the mirror.

Maybe fitness isn’t about becoming someone completely different.

Maybe it’s about becoming the healthiest, strongest, happiest version of you while learning to appreciate the person you already are.

Your body was never something you needed to fix.

It was something you needed to learn how to take care of. šŸ¤

I’m learning that putting yourself first doesn’t mean putting everyone else last. šŸ¤

Sometimes choosing yourself means saying no without feeling guilty. Protecting your peace. Honoring what you need. And realizing that you’re allowed to take up space in your own life.

I’m learning to let myself fail, too.

Not every decision is going to be the right one. Not everything is going to go according to plan. But sometimes failing is exactly what teaches you what you needed to learn and helps you grow into the person you’re meant to be.

I’m learning to let people in while still having boundaries.

You can love people, trust people, be vulnerable with people, and still know when something isn’t good for you. Having boundaries doesn’t mean you have to build walls.

And honestly, I’m still figuring out the balance.

Some days I give too much. Some days I pull back too far. Sometimes I make the wrong choice, learn from it, adjust, and try again.

Maybe that’s what finding balance actually looks like.

It’s trial and error. It’s learning yourself. It’s figuring out what deserves your energy and what doesn’t. It’s knowing when to hold on, when to let go, when to let people in, and when to choose yourself.

I don’t have everything figured out, and I don’t think I’m supposed to.

I’m just learning, growing, setting boundaries, making mistakes, and becoming someone I’m proud of along the way. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

I’m pretty sure they call this a hard launch or something…

Anywho I’ve been balancing a work life, a social life, a gym life, AND now a love life.

I’m very excited to see what’s to come and very appreciative of all the wonderful things that have already come.

It’s so nice having someone push you to be better every day and make me feel better on the days I need comfort or am just being a b!tch (I’m actually really nice most of the time🫪).

I love every minute I spend with you, @rw.7.7 ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

Sometimes the world feels so heavy that we forget how much beauty is sitting right in front of us.

Maybe being kinda chic is realizing that life gets a whole lot lighter when you stop trying to control how other people see you.

Let them be wrong about you.
Keep your circle small.
Spend more time building a life that feels good instead of one that just looks good.

Go outside.
Find joy in the little things.
Be a beginner.
Be a silly goose.
Put yourself out there even if it’s uncomfortable.
Push yourself toward the version of you that you’ve been dreaming about, and don’t apologize for having ā€˜SUPER INSANE’ goals. The people who are meant for you won’t be intimidated by your ambition, they’ll cheer you on.

Do things that make you feel confident.
Give yourself grace on the hard days.
Make meaningful connections.
Find people who truly get you, and never settle for relationships where you’re giving more appreciation than you’re receiving.

The world is full of beautiful moments, beautiful people, and beautiful opportunities. Sometimes the only thing standing between us and seeing them is the perspective we choose to have.

Maybe that’s what being kinda chic is all about. šŸ¤

Life has been throwing curveballs at me left and right lately…

I’ve been balancing two jobs, taking care of my two dogs, adjusting to going gluten-free, buying a new car, navigating the worst flare-up of my POTS that I’ve ever experienced, and watching my family go through one of the scariest moments imaginable when my mom had a cancer scare (Thankfully, she came back cancer-freešŸ¤).

And honestly… that’s not even everything.

There were days where I felt like life just kept piling it on. Days where I questioned how much more I could handle. Days where simply getting out of bed felt like a win.

But here’s what I’ve learned: life doesn’t stop. It doesn’t wait until you’re ready or until everything feels fair. You have two choices—you can let the weight of it keep you down, or you can keep showing up anyway.

So that’s what I’ve done.

I’ve kept showing up.

I’ve been losing weight (and nope… I’m not done yetšŸ˜‰). I’m getting stronger, getting toned, and falling back in love with the gym in the healthiest, most fulfilling way I’ve ever experienced. I’m building meaningful relationships, protecting my peace, learning to listen to my body instead of fighting against it, and slowly becoming someone I’m genuinely proud of.

Not because everything suddenly became easy.

Because I refused to quit.

Growth doesn’t always happen during the easy seasons. Sometimes it happens in the middle of the chaos, the uncertainty, the setbacks, and the tears. Sometimes your biggest comeback starts while you’re still fighting battles no one else can see.

So if life has been testing you lately, keep going.

Celebrate the tiny wins. Rest when you need to. Ask for help when you need it. Cry if you have to. Then get back up.

Your current chapter doesn’t get to decide your ending.

This season has reminded me that resilience isn’t about pretending everything is okay. It’s about choosing hope anyway. It’s about believing that even after the hardest days, there is still so much life waiting for you.

Keep going. Your comeback might already be happening, you just haven’t seen the full picture yet. šŸ¤šŸ’Ŗ
