UND is an amazingly creative international duo, Terry-Ann Frencken and Marco Palmieri, with their quirky, poetic, tongue-in-cheek groovy techno. We were lucky to remix their track "Rodeo" released on Trapez records the same year as our album. So this was a bit of a remix ping pong 😊. by @third_ear_recordings

In 2006, @dj_crowdpleaser and @st_plomb released an album that quietly made its mark, earning international praise and taking them on the road. Rooted in the Swiss underground but shaped by a wide musical background - from funk and hip-hop to house and techno - their collaboration stood out as fluid and genre-crossing. The tracks 1-2-3, Cash On Time featuring Kate Wax, 18 Years, and Zukunft were widely played and licensed on numerous compilations.

Twenty years later, it returns.

Now, finally available on all platforms, on @third_ear_recordings

Named after the year of its creation, the record captured a moment in time. Through its titles, it circled around time, not as a theme, but as a recurring motif. Once a set of temporal markers, early, today, 18 Years, 1,2,3, last, the album no longer just points to time; it has moved through it.

In addition to the album getting a 20th anniversary release, the remixes will also get a 20th anniversary release, together with a new remix. The remixes will be released in pairs, like an old-school A Side/B Side 7” single, with new artwork.

In 2006, when we released our album, the press gave us great coverage. Some of these magazines were highly influential, and their reviews could make or break a record. The response turned out to be overwhelmingly positive, and led to a tour across Europe and Japan.
For its 20th anniversary, we want to make the album available again — and, for the first time, on all platforms.
Huge thanks to Mental Groove, where it was originally released, for allowing us to do this.
Huge thanks as well to Third Ear Recordings for handling the reissue.
We already released an EP on Third Ear, Sorcière Doctoresse, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of their catalogue, alongside the likes of Wbeeza, Theo Parrish, Reggie Dokes and the wider Detroit Beatdown scene, as well as Thomas Brinkmann, who mastered our album.
