Approximately 3 months into climbing. A real beginner baby climber ! But oh so fun! Have plenty to learn and looking forward to it all. Most of all, this bends and challenges the mind in a way I feel intrigued only to learn more. I am so grateful to have a functioning body and wouldn’t take it for granted. When I broke my nose in Brazilian jiu jitsy I had to take a 8 week break from close contact to make my nose heal. Something that turned into this. In January I’ll be back at the mats doing jiu jitsu, but I now am lucky enough to have TWO hobbies I love. Very very grateful β™₯️ Amazing photographer here πŸ“Έ: @brustadmarius by @this.is.ina
So let me tell you a little something about me. I have a story from childhood that puts me where I am today. Struggling with anxiety. And this, competing, is a trigger. Therefore I’m doing it. I lost all 4 matches today… or shall I say 5… the one where it’s me against myself as well. I couldn’t push thru, I couldn’t remember a single thing or do anything right. It felt like the world was zooming in on me and like I could faint at any moment. Several times before the matches I needed to sit down to avoid falling down in what felt like a close faint. I was just trying to survive during a full blown panic attack and in one of the matches being I felt I couldn’t breathe at all. I was so close tapping myself out of it just to catch my breath. But I managed to calm myself down and collect myself. I later tapped out anyway out of a submission. This is not to say I didn’t have worthy opponents. I certainly did, just that I did not feel worthy going up against them today. Because I was not only fighting them, I was also fighting myself. In the end, you don’t win the matches you don’t attend to and I won’t overcome this by not putting myself thru it again and again until my mind and body give up and can finally say .. YOU WIN! #mentalhealth #anxiety #angst I didn’t sleep at all the night leading up to this and cried in the car on my way here. At least I didn’t cry as much between matches as I did the last time, so I guess it’s an improvement from last time. Now I’m going to rest 🫢🏼 by @this.is.ina

@margotciccarelli has been pure joy to learn from. Not only is she detail oriented and good at explaining the techniques she does, but she’s also very smart and interesting to talk to. She includes everyone in class and is more than eager to teach what she knows (and she knows a lot!). What a truly beautiful woman to learn from, how fortunate I am to have met her in my own jiu jitsu journey πŸ”₯ 😊 #grateful by @this.is.ina

RIP Zorro 10.11.2019 - 20.04.2026 Today I had to say goodbye to my best friend and soulmate πŸ’”I am heartbroken. He was such a good boy in every way, and he took the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to meet him. He will be forever missed and I am so grateful to have had him for his six years. He had a good life, was spoiled rotten and had many runs thru the forest 🌳 we like to think he’s still around when we go on walks, he lays next to me when I sleep and he nags for food every night at 7 pm sharp. Run free Zorro πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ί by @this.is.ina
