Psalm 91 📖🙏🏽

- “God, you’re my refuge.
I trust in you and I’m safe!”
That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
    shields you from deadly hazards.

His huge outstretched arms protect you—
    under them you’re perfectly safe;
his arms fend off all harm.

Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
not disaster that erupts at high noon.

Even though others succumb all around,
drop like flies right and left,
no harm will even graze you.

You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
watch the wicked turn into corpses.

Yes, because God’s your refuge! 🙌🏾 taken in Dallas, Texas by @this_isreed

100 years of purpose, courage, and love. Happy belated birthday, Dr. Opal Lee! 🪴💙

An inspiration to so many and everybody’s grandmother! Through the Mavs, we’ve built a deep relationship with Dr. Opal Lee, her family, and her team. Getting to know the woman behind the history and support her continued work in our community has been such a gift.

One of the greatest honors of my life and career has been serving on the Mavs Take ACTION! team and helping script, write interview questions, and produce our courageous conversation series, The HUDDLE. One of my favorite stories was Dr. Lee’s: “Fighting for the Future While Honoring the Past.” We celebrated her extraordinary journey and the work she continues to do. Her story is still being written.

Shoutout to my partner in Justice @toyota_kamri everyone on our Mavs Off Court Team and Mavs production teams who helped bring these stories to life. I’m proud of what we created together.

And a special thank you to @cyntgm Cynt Marshall, whose vision for Mavs Take ACTION! began in her prayer closet following the murder of George Floyd. For five straight years, we turned that vision into ACTION to address social injustice and racial inequity.

Although the Mavs Take ACTION! name and branding has sunset, the work continues. The relationships, impact, and stories live on, documented in history.

Dr. Opal Lee, thank you for your sacrifice, resilience, and love. What an honor to celebrate you and help tell your story. We love you! 💙

Some people enter a room. Others help shape what the room becomes.

Our founder, Debra “Dee” Bowles, has always understood that meaningful change begins with creating the right atmosphere. An atmosphere where people feel seen. Where conversations become connections. Where purpose has room to move.

At the Marsai’s Way Foundation luncheon, that spirit was present in every embrace, every conversation, and every moment of connection.

For Debra, this work has never been about simply having a seat in the room. It is about what we do once we’re there.

We shift the room.
We create space.
We open doors.
And whenever possible, we make sure another woman can walk through them too.

That is the heart of leadership.
That is the heart of Women Called Moses.

Grateful to be able to show up for the Sandbranch community over the weekend and last week. 💙

Every time we show up, there’s a direct impact. Families receive resources, stories are shared, dollars are raised and more attention is brought to an inequity that has existed for far too long.

Despite the politics, history and noise surrounding this issue, some things should be simple: everyone deserves access to safe, clean water.

The work that I do isn’t always captured, but it’s always needed. And I don’t take the responsibility or opportunity to do it for granted.

And it’s a reminder of why representation matters at every level where decisions are made and resources are distributed from government and corporations to foundations, schools and even PTAs.

And as always.

Listen. Learn. Unite. 💙 by @this_isreed

Honored to be named one of the DFW 100 Most Influential Young Professionals Under 40 by an organization that has been such an important part of my leadership journey.

Beyond this award, I’m just grateful for the space that this organization once gave me to create, lead, learn, and refine my leadership.

I am beyond proud of where the organization is today. S/O to President @reubengotsoul , Vice President @sienzhi , and the entire leadership team for continuing to move DFWULYP forward and bring even this event back bigger and better after 6 years!

Congratulations to all of the amazing leaders being recognized tonight. It’s not often we get to celebrate this much young excellence in our community all at once, and I’m excited to do just that. We are all amazing and give ourselves and each other our flowers tonight. 💐🥂
