"For me, real death is dying as the end of life and death. Insofar as you live, you also live death, decay, transience."

Belgian artist Ruben Bellinkx investigates the vulnerability of our perceived reality.

Sink 2004 is a video art installation of over six minutes in which a water tap flows above a sink, but reality is disrupted in a subtle, absurd way when the sink dissolves.

'This work illustrates a feeling of a complete crush -
It can be emotional, physical, psychological exhaustion and burnout.
A moment when getting up is not an option;

Completely flat, squeezed, drained, trashed;
Left alone on the street to rust.
Life in the city…
Urban landscape, gray and dark.
How flat, crushed and empty can you feel?'

'Gregor Hildebrandt's paintings, sculptures and installations draw on music, cinema and underground cultures, arranging and combining visual elements of sound recordings and various recording media such as magnetic tapes, vinyl records or compact disks.

Throughout his poetic work, infused with both sound and silence, Hildebrandt creates a wide range of subtly reflective compositions that invite the viewer to evolve in space and grasp the beauty of things past.'

'Alex Israel becomes an intermediary, translating the ephemeral nature of celebrity and the city's cinematic allure into tangible experiences.

His pieces are not just visual entities but narratives that question and reflect on the societal constructs of success and glamour.'

'In her sculptures, Lélia Demoisy combines the plant and animal worlds, demonstrating continuous hybridization.

The forest is not just a backdrop; it is a system of relationships and a living organism. The tree's bark protects it like a fleshy shell, its heart has hardened, turning into a spine, and its entire being retains the memory of its life and traces of genetic mutations that have occurred over millions of years.'

"For Kim, the water droplet—a recurring motif that became his signature—always transcended any mere material or idealized depiction. It became instead a potent allegorical vessel for emotional and spiritual exploration, resonating deeply with East Asian philosophical traditions and the historical currents of South Korea itself."

🖤 Pierre Soulages🖤

"Soulages researched the relationship between black and light to create a pictorial space that stood apart from the monochromes of modern art. Self-taught and working with complete artistic independence, Soulages explored the possibilities of painting and developed his inimitable poetic style."
