A lot of you know about my residency, but might not know what I'm doing over there. So, I wanted to make a post about that. Just in case. And some of you have asked when can you come visit...here is my current calendar of events. Plus, the studiio is open every Tuesday from 1-5p. Other dates if you catch me. I be winging it. Hope to see you in the park before all of this wraps up.

LAST CALL! 🔔 Tomorrow 10.17 is the last day to see All Doll'd Up, my life sized paper doll boutique, in person.

Come through for the artist talk from 3-5p. Style a doll. Take some pics. And help me say goodbye to my summer home. 🥹

This project has stretched me in so many ways. I didn't want to JUST say this was about play. I wanted to actually play. Not just with my dolls, but in my actual closet. I can't say that is out of the norm, but to make it more of an actual challenge I decided I was going to wear a different outfit every time I went into the studiio. 15 weeks...I did it! And I did feel challenged. Especially closer to the end, because....did I even remember what I had on yesterday? I shoulda took more pics.

I can't say I didn't wear a single item twice, but I had to pair it differently. Which really took some thought. I tried some new things. If it wasn't so hoooooot...🙄 but I plan to keep this up into the fall. Taking inspo from the dolls. I may or may not have been doing some "add to cart" today. For fun.

To close this chapter, @lifewith_ariana is coming back to chat with me on Saturday for my artist talk. As always, I don't know what she's going to ask. #Surprise But I imagine we'll get to talk fashion and how that relates to art. How play is good for both.

We gon find out together if you're in the room.

All Doll'd Up Day 2 is a wrap. 🎉 Thanks to all my friends for coming out and celebrating this momentous occasion with me.

If you didn't make it out today, there's still time. I'm in the studiio for 6 more days. Here's my schedule if you want to come out:

Sunday Oct. 11, 2-5p
Tuesday Oct. 13, 4-7p
Friday Oct. 16, 5-7p
Saturday 3-5p (artist talk)

Then I'm packing up and bringing my girls home.

All Doll'd Up was stop #13 on the Gallery Crawl last night. The shop was cute. Y'all made such cute outfits. I was so impressed with the choices and the willingness to play.

Thank you for a great first night! I'll be back again tonight Saturday 10.10 from 4-8p. Hope to see you there (if it is safe for you to come).

Are we finishing up at the very last minute? We are. It's fine. Everything is fine. Lol.

In addition to the gallery crawl on Friday, I will still be there on Saturday...because we had already talked about that AND All Doll'd Up is indoors, so we do not have to worry about what's going on outside. Pick a day. Come through. I cannot wait to see you.

Sasha, an avid traveler, had the perfect idea to present her Spring/Summer 2027 resort collection at her new boutique just minutes away from the world’s busiest airport. The collection of paper fashions includes over 50 pieces of clothing and accessories that can be mixed and matched on our 3 doll models offering guests an opportunity to experiment with fashion as a way to connect with their inner child. Y'all know how I be saying creating art is a conversation?

When I started this project, I was only making one doll...and that was Sasha. However, Bendaya is the first doll I made and she was very clear that she was NOT Sasha. It simply did not feel right. So, I just made another doll to be Sasha and let Bendaya be who she wanted. Don't tell the others, but she my fav. We spent so much time together in the beginning, because her little version (the black and white one) was the only doll I had for some time. I was carrying her back and forth to the studiio every day and we had time to bond. I'm probably gonna still play with her after all of this is over. #Smitten

Also...don't ask me what a professional roller skater does. I just know that is her main job. She's one of Dutch's clients and Dutch, like me, thought Bendaya was gorgeous so she introduced her to Sasha. Now Bendaya is not only the face of Sasha's latest collection, but she's working runways worldwide...when she not doing whatever dolls be doing when they roller skate professionally.

Meet Duchess. Everybody calls her Dutch tho. Exept her momma. She and Sasha were roommates at "dollege" and they are still the best of friends.

If I had to choose whose closet to shop from...I'm choosing Dutch. My girl is FLY, okay. Like...who'sout here being absolutely adorable in a bowl cut? Sasha says Dutch is the reason she blossomed as a designer. Before they connected Sasha only made things for herself. But Dutch saw her talent and said...me too, please. She challenged her to expand and grow. Actually, that's who Dutch is in general. She's going to find all your strengths, shine a light on em, and support you through a rise to achieving everything you deserve.

The last collection I created was for @artfulatl and all them girls had jobs. For All Doll'd Up, it's very much about what they're doing for pleasure. I figured with the boutique opening "next door" to the airport, we could explore fashion through the lens of travel. So to introduce you to the dolls, we can talk about what they like to do on a trip.

Everybody meet Sasha. She's a fashion designer and the owner of All Doll'd Up. Easy breezy. Messy bun. And ready for adventure.

Dear Y'all,

12 days til opening. Am I ready? Absolutely not. Will I be? I usually am. I don't see why this time will be any different. Lol.

I included Sasha's description on what to expect, but I also want y'all to know I've created 3 whole dolls to play with. The plan included 1. #OverAchieving We have made a 30+ piece collection of clothes including pants, tops, skirts, dresses, and swimwear PLUS accessories as Sasha's SS27 Resort Collection. The store has a travel theme. Oh! And a dog! We have a dog!

So, while there may have been something like this before, you probably haven't seen it. You certainly have not seen it my way (because I'm not done 😭). So put me on your calendar and come play at my next solo exhibition All Doll'd Up opening Saturday 10.10.26 during the Hapeville Gallery Crawl from 4-8P.

Starting tomorrow...we meet the dolls. And I'm back in the studiio trying to make magic happen. 🤞🏽
