She gets good grades, she’s cautious, she’s the only one alive at the end of the movie, and she’s... maybe a little queer? Yes, bi babes, for this topic, we break down the FINAL GIRL, a slasher trope that’s historically steeped in queer-coding, and more recently, overt queerness and bisexuality.

With the help of genre experts, Joe Lipsett and Trace Thurman of the @horrorqueers podcast, we track the evolution of this beloved character archetype throughout horror history. From Laurie Strode in HALLOWEEN (1978), to Sidney Prescott in the SCREAM franchise, to Kris and Billy in CAMP MIASMA (2026), we cover the most iconic final girls, discuss what makes them feel so queer, and unpack the final girl’s complicated relationship to sexuality. (Is the final girls’ aversion to sex the patriarchy pushing moral purity, or is it a disinterest in scummy men?!)

Plus, Joe + Trace drop some of their favorite queer slasher rec’s, and share their thoughts on the future of this trope. Join us bi babes, for a scary, insightful, cinematic ride... ❤️🩸 Final girls Halloween podcast post by @thisfeelsbi

Yeehaw, bi babes! This week we’re two-stepping into country music, a genre that is somehow both associated with heteronormativity and feels *very* queer-coded, and we’re joined by bi musician Lydia von Hof @lydiavonhof to help us unpack this one.

We dig into country music’s iconography and its homosocial roots, the genre’s predisposition toward yearning, and why The Chicks became sapphic icons after Nashville tried to bury them, discussing the tension between the queer community’s reclamation of the genre, in contrast with certain country musicians who have spread harmful rhetoric. Lydia shares her own experience as a queer artist in the country space and shares some of her fave queer country artists. Even the most country-averse will have to admit that this genre… well, it does indeed feel a little bi. Lydia von hof country music artist by @thisfeelsbi

American Girl Dolls: classic childhood relics or sapphic icons? (Or perhaps... both?) Come along as we *find our inner stars* ⭐️ and investigate the queer community’s relationship with American Girl Dolls.

Joined by co-host of @soundslikeacultpod, and former American Girl Doll enthusiast, @reesepersephoneoliver , we dive into why so many bi and queer folks owned + loved American Girl Dolls growing up (and still do), Kira and her queer Australian aunts, conservatives’ pushback with the “take back the rainbow” controversy, and which American Girl Dolls are the most queer-coded (Molly + Kit, we’re looking at you…). Join us bi babes, for a trip down nostalgia lane. American girl dolls this feels bi by @thisfeelsbi

Gather your coven and green velvet because we’re traveling from Massachusetts to England to our local AMC theater to watch Nicole Kidman come to this place for… *literal* magic. 🔮

Joined by bi bestie of the pod and fellow witch @amanda_montell we tackle the recently released PRACTICAL MAGIC 2 (2026), unpacking the… erm… erotic energy between Nicole Kidman + Sandra Bullock, the queer-coded curse at the center of the franchise, soft boy Gideon and his bisexual lemon bars, queer icon Lee Pace playing a hot Wiccan, Internet theories about the Owens aunts as coupled, the bi-coded fashion of Doc Martens paired with a whimsigoth dress, and the problem of Antonia not being afforded the lesbian arc she deserved. This episode is everything you witched for, bi babes. 🖤 by @thisfeelsbi
