Commander Charmain Brenyah visited the @rampagesound stage twice this Carnival. Sunday, then again on Monday and comended our operations 🙏🏽

Ten years @minalceo has run this stage. Sixty years of Carnival. Thirty-five plus years of Rampage Sound.

People think the police relationship happens in August. It doesn't. Bronze commander, sub-bronze, briefings, the recce, walking the ground. Year round.

Do we always agree? No. Do we always get to a resolution? Yes. That's not politeness — that's the safety of everyone on site.

Thousands of people across two days. 40 SIA security. 40+ crew, volunteers and sponsor staff, 6 medical response.

And the reason it works isn't visible from the front. It's the planning, breifings, meetungs. It's backstage. Controlled. Properly accredited. Not overrun. That's what gives the team room to work — security can move, a medic can get through, artists get on and off clean.

Guest lists are easy. Discipline about them isn't.

Credit where it's due in Carnival's 60th: @nhcarnivalldn has put stewarding grants, crowd managers for the larger sites, and training for named points of contact behind the sounds. Nobody photographs that. It's how Carnival gets another sixty.

Carnival finished on Monday. @minalceo 's job didn't.

Yesterday: radios collected from a very patient local resident. Today: radios back with the supplier.

This year @earsplc relocated the repeaters and the signal across the Notting Hill Carnival footprint was noticeably better — including for us at @rampagesound. Not perfect yet. Danny's already offered to let us trial different in-ear sizes for next year.

Good comms are a safety issue, not a nice-to-have. That's why the derig matters as much as the build.

Next - pay staff, suppliers, host debrief with all teams and our investors..

The work doesn't stop when the music does.

**Carnival doesn't end. It evolves. 🎨🔥**

@abotz_artwrld transformed the @rampagesound walls into something that captures exactly what Notting Hill Carnival is about – bold expression, real stories, community, and art that speaks the truth, vibrancy and colour.

We were honoured to be present as the artist did his work!

Walls listen when people don't.

Abotz paints what the news won't show you. Money. Inequality. Mental health. Identity. The pressure cooker of modern Britain that nobody wants to talk about – but everybody feels. Graffiti artists don't ask permission to be heard. They never have. They paint the truth in the places where truth gets seen – the streets that raised them, the walls of their neighbourhood, the spaces that matter.

It's not vandalism. It's testimony. It's culture. It's freedom in its most honest form.

This is why Rampage Sound and graffiti belong together. Both are about the same thing: taking back the narrative. Making space for voices that get pushed to the margins. Celebrating the culture that builds community when institutions won't.

Notting Hill Carnival started the same way – reclaiming public space, speaking our truth, refusing to be silent.

The walls. The streets. The sound. The art. It's all the same conversation.

One sound. One vision. One community.

Our 2019 set up!

We have been shy 😳 about our achievements for nearly 10 years. Not anymore.

We joined the Rampage Crew in 2016, worked with 2 different production crews, 2 different security firms, different first aid suppliers, different Met Police commanders, 2 different stage management, different volunteers, staff, different sponsors and we have learnt so much. We have worked at other festivals and have never really promoted our work.

There is nothing we would undo. We fail at times, or are challenge and we find solutions and crack on!

Each year we improve. We improve and the finance comes along.

The first year for us was tough; negotiating sponsorship, finding additional investors and managing their expectations whilst keeping as authentic to who Rampage are and what Notting Hill Carnival stands for.

With the recent financial report recording exactly how much NHC brings in to the London economy, it is still tough for many of the Sound Systems playing out and this needs to be developed in order to protect their existence.

We will share our learnings if needed and are here to help!

This is @ctsecurityltd team for @rampagesound at Notting Hill Carnival, in their element — connected, communicating, and caring. They're the backbone of what we do.

From the setup to the closing, they're talking to people, listening, and holding space for our community to celebrate safely. No drama, just professionalism and real care.

Our police meetings are attended by the Head of Security and together we analyse conversations and come to agreements.

We accredit each security personnel, ask for their authentication and check them in on both the Sunday and Monday.

Working with them since 2022, we have built a strong relationship and are always looking to improve. No one year is the same, and with event and security regulations changing with the times, we have to remain flexible with the ability to adapt on the ground and behind the scenes.

CT security is connected to communities all over London and beyond.

That's what it looks like when security gets it right. 🙌

A little bit of rain was never going to stop us giving Carnival goers a good time. ☔️🔊

Rewind eight years to 2018 — we made it through the rain, and so did you lot. Umbrellas up, ponchos on, and not one person moved from in front of those speakers.

Come rain or shine, we'll be ready with the sounds. This year we're celebrating 60 years of Notting Hill Carnival, 35+ years of Rampage Sound on the road, and 10 years of us managing the kings of Carnival. 👑

And wow....how our production has improved over the years! 👀
