my debut ep “it’s all starting to make sense now” is out @ midnight on friday, september 5th! @themattsterling and i have been working hard on these songs for the last 9+ months & i cannot believe it’s finally time to share the project in its entirety. matt has been such a pivotal part of this project. not only is he my best friend, but we also write together, produce together, learn together and have such a wonderful connection that has really brought the music to life. he is such a one-of-a-kind human (with an obscene amount of talent).this project explores the good, the bad, the ugly, and the denial of my inner world- to looking myself in the mirror and finally (truthfully) being so proud of the woman/artist/musician that i have become. i started releasing music in 2022, and i could’ve never imagined that i would be here in 3 years. from coming to a new city with absolutely no one, to being a full time music student, to the hard multiple life-changing diagnoses, the mental turmoil, the multiple jobs, and more. i have put my blood, sweat, and tears into every note i sing and every word i write. music is my heartbeat. this project is only the beginning of my journey, and i cannot begin to thank everyone for being here- whether you’ve been here or you just arrived, i am GRATEFUL. i have to thank @leahwellmanphoto for capturing each cover with such grace, respect, and care. she is an amazing talent, and has truly helped my visions come to life. thank you to @gripgodd for the never ending stream of creativity, she is an artist. thank you @amyikemakeup for beating this face like no one has ever before. saving the best for last, thank you to my manager @karina01215 for having my back and believing in me through it all. i love you so much, and can’t wait to see what happens next!thank you for reading, and thank you for listening- xoxo, m.e.h. by @thismusicismeh

happy show day my loves. i just wanted to talk about my vocal routine for show days, although i try to do this everyday. anyone who knows me knows how serious i am about vocal health. step one: STRETCH! i like to stretch my entire body, but specifically my jaw, neck and shoulders. everything is connected! i also like to massage my jaw, neck, throat, and shoulders!step two: stretch/massage your tongue! this one is underrated. stick your tongue out and take some gauze or a paper towel to stretch and massage your tongue. it releases tension in your mouth.step three: warm up! i like to use a 20-minute voice recording from one of my vocal lessons. you can definitely find something on youtube. but, it has straw in water exercises, lip trills, agility exercises, etc. step four: NEBULIZE! this is one of the most important devices you will ever own as a vocalist (see slide 3). i do this while warming up, right before performing, after performing, and really any time that my mouth/throat feels dry. throughout the day, i hum and do more straw exercises/lip trills. this acts as a lil massage for your vocal chords. i also drink a lot of tea with @mikeshothoney (cheat code) or regular honey. if you’re a vocalist, find a routine that works for you. nobody’s perfect, this is what helps me- so i hope it helps you!!!!! xoxo, m.e.h.🪐🌠#vocalhealth #nebulizer #voice #livemusic by @thismusicismeh
