Just a couple of sisters, a pair of farm cats and a slow summer evening out in the country.

Exactly the kind of moment @thisunposedlife was made for.

“Photos seem to stop time for just a moment. Create pause amidst the crazy… in a society where things are constantly moving and changing, I love the stillness of a photo.”

Every year, around the Fourth of July, the Schwerin and Smith families get out to pasture to collect their hay bales. It’s a project for the entire family.

Paden (6) understands why it is important as he explains, “We need to bale the hay to feed the cows. We need to get all the hay for the winter.”

While their parents work, Paden (6) and his brother Paxton (3) take a break to chase each other back and forth high up on a row of hay bales despite the hot summer heat. taken in Siloam Springs, Arkansas by @thisunposedlife

“It’s a lot of fun but it is very challenging raising small kids. Learning how to disciple yours kids and learning how to encourage them to follow their dreams is a challenge, but it’s worth it.” -Tim Rippy

A couple weeks ago, I went out to do an UNPOSED session with the Smith and Schwerin families while they worked the fields and baled hay. And as farmers and ranchers tend to do, the kids participate from an early age.
While I rode through the fields with them in their truck, little Paxton decided that it was his turn to take the wheel. Moments after climbing over the center console and onto his mother's lap, I asked, "So, Paxton, how long you been driving?" Without hesitating, his eyes fixed out the front windshield he quickly responded, "Bout 20 days." taken in Siloam Springs, Arkansas by @thisunposedlife
