This short piece initially stemmed from meditative slow walks—a conscious attempt to slow down, notice the minutiae of the world around us, and actively engage with it.
Earlier this year, these reflections grew into a collaboration with Alex from Frequency Diagnostics at one of his gong bath events, using some of the spoken-word elements you hear here alongside the distinct, resonant frequencies of his gongs.
This video features a snippet of the work I originally produced for Sally Child’s ZlideSpeekSho. Take a breath, turn the sound up preferably with headphones and dive into the details with me. #experimentalsound

Here’s a short video I put together back in July — a little glimpse of RM23 experimental sound , alongside some fabulously talented dancers - Max Revell/ Silk Boogie and friends, who were also improvising.
It was such a brilliant session — experimenting, exploring new ways of creating sound, and having a lot of fun along the way.

Really looking forward to experimenting again in this way soon.
Watch this space…

Here’s a short video I put together to complement an extract from one of RM23’s August jam sessions. @RM23_uk is an experimental sound group I’m so lucky to be part of. It was recorded live @premisesstudios in London.

With summer behind us and darker nights approaching, we’re leaning into the alchemy of what lies ahead.

The track is entitled Frost Byte. #ExperimentalMusic #ExperimentalSound #SoundArt #ImprovisedMusic #LiveMusic #LiveRecording #Soundscape #ElectronicMusic by @thisway123

Welcome to the page for Signal to Noise; a channel for live improvised experimental sounds. We are almost at GO, launching very soon with the first of what we hope will be a regular event celebrating the art of sound-making, noise crafting and sonic manipulation. The heads behind this project are RM23 (rm23_uk), aided and abetted by Rob Parton of @arconicsound and Michael from @goldengoosetheatre. More news will follow soon! #newbeginnings #newsounds #electronicarts #soundart @alimariatuma @leeroyhalloween @thisway123 @shaunm79 #liveimprovisation by @thisway123

A few photos from today’s beautiful Sound Bath.

It was such a pleasure to be invited to play alongside Alex at Frequency Diagnostics in this gorgeous secret garden in Walthamstow Village. A truly special setting for an afternoon of sound, connection, and relaxation.

If you missed this one, be sure to catch the next session on Tuesday 7th July, where Rob from Arconic Sound will be joining Alex for another immersive collaboration. #SoundBath #SoundHealing #WalthamstowVillage #frequencydiagnostics #arconicsound CommunityWellbeing Relaxation by @thisway123
