POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

SOME STORIES ENTERTAIN. OTHERS NEED TO BE TOLD.

We believe stories have the power to question what we take for granted, challenge our certainties, and remind us of our shared humanity.

That’s WHY we helped make UNCIVILIZED possible: A collaboration with the ORIOL&TALAL QUARTET and filmmaker Flavia Moraes, where music meets cinema, cultures meet, and one question refuses to go away:

WHO DECIDES WHAT IS CIVILIZED?

Proud to stand behind the people and crew who brought this project to life.

This Saturday, October 17, at @fmediterrania

What a blessing to have had Vanessa Kourtesi and Thodoris Ziarkas alongside us throughout the process, two incredible, sensitive singer/musician artists who have given the film's visual journey its sonic soul. And, of course, the final sound mixing touch by my favourite artwizard, daz disley, a person who is always by my side the last 13 years..!

Once again: it is during the process itself that I experience the magic that each encounter carries within.....so how can I not fully trust (especially in moments of feeling stuck) that outcome(s) will emerge, no matter what!?

Thank you!

— The Quietus

“The theme of migration seems particularly relevant in the work of Valia Calda... on Homeland, it emits a sense of sweet nostalgia.”

We felt like we didn’t have much to say lately, so our account has been mostly quiet for a while.

This Friday though marks a very important day for us. After many years of touring it’s finally time for a real homecoming.

This Friday, we’ll perform at the @rhodesjazzfestival and we’re both very excited and deeply emotional about it. This has been a long process between us and the festival to make this show happen, and we’re incredibly grateful that it’s finally happening.

After three years of touring and sharing this experience with our audiences, this will also be the last time we perform material from our latest record, Homeland — a deeply personal album for us. What better way to close this chapter than by performing in the place where it all began?

Last July we were thrilled to play at the ClarinetFest26 @icaclarinet in Incheon, Korea 🇰🇷, as jazz headliners, presenting our music to new audiences and sharing the stage with amazing clarinetists from all over the world ✨

Big thanks to @buffetcrampon and @vandorenfrance for endorsing @oriolmares as their artist. For caring about details and for always bringing the clarinet further.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible @fondspodiumkunsten @ibermusicas and @musicamaxima_stimuleert ❤️
