Awesome weekend at the @thebendmotorsportpark racing with @b_gart22 in the SA excel enduro.

Was a weekend full of learning. First time with the team, first time racing a FWD car, first time racing at the bend. Gotta give a massive shoutout to the @mischsexcelgarage crew for their work over the weekend keeping the cars in tip top shape, as well as coaching after every session.

Can’t say it was an easy weekend. RACE 1- I started the race in P9 out of 34 cars. After contact in T6 I fell back to 19th and worked my way back up to 11th before handing the car over to Brad to finish race 1.
Wasn’t long into Brads stint and he too was involved in an accident causing him to have to pit due to a tyre going down. Due to the incident, the pitstop wasn’t very straight forward, the wheels lug-nuts were extremely bent. Finished P31.

Race 2 Brad started P14 and had a great stint battling around the top 10. I jumped in for the second stint, fell back slightly, from where Brad handed the car over ultimately finishing in P13. taken in The Bend Motorsport Park by @thomas.duncan98

There since the very start, my friends and of course my family. They’ve been to every single one of my races, no matter if it’s a short drive or an interstate location. I’m forever grateful for the people I’m surrounded by.

Round 4 of the @rx8cupseries ☑️. Car was quick, but unfortunately wasn’t able to convert into any results. Not my weekend. We put a new gearbox in it after race 1, then come race 2 I wound up with a cooked Dorito. Everyone @ninety9motorsport tried their best to get me back out there for the remaining races, and I can’t thank them enough. Unfortunately we weren’t able to. Special thanks to @brien.place and @maisieplace1 for offering a car for me to drive in the last race. Very very kind offer. taken in Sydney Motorsport Park by @thomas.duncan98

Round 3 of the @rx8cupseries took us to @winton_raceway
Overall a great weekend. Saw myself in the leading pack all weekend thanks to all the hard work from the @ninety9motorsport team.

Landed myself P2 for qualifying on Saturday morning just behind @tomshawracing and just in front of Tim Berryman

In Race 1, I unfortunately dropped a few positions finishing in 4th place.

Race 2, maintaining 4th place, going into the second last turn I hit some oil which unfortunately resulted in us doing a 180 on track, facing the wrong way with oncoming cars. Quick reactions from @jackpennacchia thankfully meant I wasn’t hit. Ended up finishing the race in 10th.

Race 3 Sunday morning was great fun, full focus on making progression up the field from 10th place, drove my way up to 4th position. Earned some battle wounds on the car in the process. Really happy with how I drove in this race. Quite a number of good overtakes.

Race 4 I was fighting really hard with Tim Berryman, banging doors, sharing paint, but unfortunately still ended up finishing 5th.

Overall I finished the weekend in 5th out of 24.

Massive congratulations to my 99Motorsport friend and teammate @shannonmclaineracing for finishing the weekend in 2nd place taken in Winton Raceway by @thomas.duncan98

Round 2 of the @rx8cupseries done and dusted.

First and foremost, wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone @ninety9motorsport. The car felt great all weekend and it was because of that I was able to put the car on the first row in Qualifying.

Also wanted to say a massive thank you to all my friends and family who came out and watched over the weekend.

We started the weekend with a wet Friday practice. I was feeling good in the car, pace looked pretty good as well. I continued the pace from Friday into Qualifying Saturday morning finishing up in 2nd.

Unfortunately that second place was rather short lived. In race 1, I had to take avoiding action due to a car spinning in front of me leaving me no other choice but having to drive into the mud... and thats where I sat. Completed all of one corner.

Come Sunday, starting dead last in race 2 (P27) I made my way up the field finishing up in P13.
We continued moving forward in the remaining races.
We currently sit equal 11th in the season standings.

Looking forward to Winton !!
