𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 is a transnational quartet featuring musicians whose paths once crossed in Copenhagen: the Latvian saxophonist 𝐊ā𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐳𝐢ņš, the German pianist 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫, the Polish bassist 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐧, and the German drummer 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧.

What began in 2015 as a recording session in a Copenhagen studio has long since become one of the most enduring collaborations in European jazz. Following their acclaimed debut album (2016) and the live recording Live in Berlin (2019), the band is deliberately taking its time.

𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫’s next release is scheduled for 2027; until then, the quartet continues to impress with the strength honed through experience: four distinct voices uniting as a single organism and blending melodies with a restless spirit of experimentation.

@karlisauzinsmusic - saxophones
@lucasleidinger - piano
@tomojacobson - double bass
@thomas.sauerborn - drums

MADELEINES

23. SEPTEMBER 2026 - 20:00

Harmolodik in Kinderschuhen. Afrokubanisches,
eckig serviert.
Das Zusammenspiel von Leonhard Huhn, Carl Ludwig Hübsch und Thomas Sauerborn
verleiht den Erinnerungen Flügel.

@leonhardhuhn – Altsaxophon, Sopransaxophon
@carlludwighubsch – Tuba
@thomas.sauerborn – Schlagzeug

📅31st August | 8pm
📍Green Room 🌿@stadtgarten_koeln

𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐍𝐀𝐊𝐈 𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐀, the record label founded by drummer, composer and NICA artist 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧, guitarist 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐕ö𝐥𝐤, and bassist and Game Boy enthusiast 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐠, was born from an idea shared by close friends and fellow musicians. Five years later, it has evolved
into a full-fledged sonic adventure with a mission: to promote niche music and provide it with a platform. The trio focuses entirely on bringing together musicians from diverse backgrounds to expand the boundaries of what jazz and improvised music can sound like.

Under the title ⟦ℼ╬☉ ╬ꖲⅇ 𝟝╬ꖲ ⅅⅈ⩕ⅇℼ𝕤ⅈ☉ℼ, 𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐍𝐀𝐊𝐈 𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐀 presents two sets featuring different constellations of musicians, curated by Thomas Sauerborn. In the first set, former NICA artist and improviser 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩 𝐙𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐞𝐤 (piano, synthesizer) joins forces with Anunaki founder
Andreas Völk (Barth Audios, live sampling). In the second set, Anunaki founder Kenn Hartwig (Nintendo Game Boy), singer Teresa Coll, and former NICA artist and drummer Leif Berger will share the stage. In both lineups, different sonic worlds collide and merge into a single entity.
