Forever wishing I was born in the 50s

The New Zero. V13

A chapter that I’m as sad as I am happy to end. It wasn’t only a physical test but a mental test. One thing is for sure this boulder was something constant in my life the past two years. Something always in the back of my mind as life kept getting busier and crazier. I told myself I would make it a point this season to get out there and complete this boulder no matter what. I never thought it would go first session back after a year with the legendary @jasonkehl_cryptochild double clutch beta.

I could say about 30 minutes more but I’ll stop. It was a day I’ll remember my whole life. Enjoy the sick send footy from @owen_dray

Happy 2 Year Anniversary to us. These 2 years have flown by since our marriage. This past year was the busiest yet of our life together. We became homeowners. Laughed, cried, explored our new neighborhood, got a little better at DIY home renovations, made the most of our one to two nights a week together, and proved to each other we will always be each others rock.

Our one vacation this year with the fam was a great break from the grind.

Big Gulp Stand V9.

Nice to get outside even with pretty bad conditions. Surprised I had enough in the tank after a 2 hour synergy session yesterday after climbing outside an hour. So close to doing the full line but skin is cooked. Did not sus out the top before 🤣 taken in Chattanooga, Tennessee by @thomas_climbs

Sentience. V12/8a+

I’ve never been one to write a reflection on a boulder. This one deserves it more than any before. It’s a sureal feeling traveling back to the county where I grew up to make my mark on the history of climbing not only in Jennings county but in Indiana as a whole. I spent my youth fishing and kayaking down the Muscatatuck River. So many memories that come back with friends and family every time I come back to this place. It’s somewhere that regardless of the state of official climbing specific access I will continue to visit for my life. I came up with the name due to how aware I was, not only with my body during the send, but with my thoughts afterwards. A moment of clarity in a place that feels like another home to me.

North Mass Boulder with the summer heat. 🔥Thought this one was gonna be absolute limit with 5+ sessions. Turns out I was just doing it wrong but it’s still muy dificil. 10 ish ground goes later and BOOM💥. One of the harder boulders in the gym in a minute. @northmassboulder
