When I joined instagram a decade ago and started ranting underneath terrible photos of watches I took, I never once imagined a watch I designed would one day be the unfortunate subject of one of those photos, but here we are.

I want to properly reflect on the past few years of development, the past week since we launched, what we have in store for the future, and also thank all of the incredible people who took a big risk, jumped on board, and have dedicated themselves to helping make this happen, but I’ll save that for some future posts at a time when I’ve finally been able to get back to all of you that have very kindly reached out over the past week. (We’re working through the messages as quickly as we can, we promise, and we can’t tell you how much we appreciate each and every one of them!) For now: thank you. I went into this journey alone, not knowing what it would produce or whether anyone would ever care, and the response we’ve been very fortunate to receive has been way beyond anything I ever could’ve imagined. We’re excited to get all of these first watches onto wrists very soon, and also can’t wait to show you some of the other — and very different — projects we’ve been working on later this year…

I know I’ve been very coy about what we’ve been working on at @fleming, and I suppose that isn’t changing too much with this statement, but we’ll start sharing much more within the next week or two, and I figured it was time to at least let everyone know where things stand and where to follow along, should anyone want to. 😉 by @thomasafleming
