seven years together and two years married. three homes, two states, eight months long distance, one big ol wedding, one natural disaster, three cats, two surgeries, one home purchase, a million house projects, one miscarriage, and one baby boy about to come join the fun. couple of bad days, a lot of really good ones!!!!!! i love you so much sweetheart, can’t wait to spend the rest of my days with you ❤️ august tenth til forever!

one year since we closed on our home! 🏠❤️

this year has been such a ride and this house has been so much work (like last summer when we all had covid, our fridge broke, i had a fever so i took a bath and then the pipe cracked and flooded the basement so we had no fridge and no shower for a week) (or in winter when it was 7 degrees and our furnace broke twice in 3 days AND we lost power to half the house bc of a broken light fixture)

BUT the gardens are blooming, the birds are chirping and our berry bushes are getting nice n big to feed lots of berries to our lil tater on the way ❤️ so grateful for this life we have worked soooooo hard for!!!!! can’t wait to see what life looks like a year from now!!!!!!

Almost one month ago today, my life was forever changed. City in ruin, mass flooding, no power, no running water, and no ways to communicate with each other or the outside world. My coworkers and I were lucky enough to get in contact with each other and spring into action, saving what we could to feed as many people as possible in the following days. The days were long and exhausting. Each day working 14-16 hours with no rest, doing everything possible to make sure we could do it all again the following day. Easily the hardest I’ve ever had to push myself in my entire life. After a few days, a helicopter flew over my head and then WCK appeared. Bringing new people and resources every following day. What was originally just a team of 4-5 grew exponentially over time. Words can’t describe how thankful I am to @wckitchen for helping provide the resources necessary for me and the team at @bearsasheville to feed 20,000+ people everyday. The days are still long, and they’re still hard. But I love it. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, and I’m so grateful to be able to give back to my community everyday because of them, and will continue to do so until WNC is back on its feet. taken in Asheville, North Carolina by @thomasdafonte
