UNDISCOVERED ABUJA 4.0

Thought Pyramid Art Centre presents the fourth edition of UNDISCOVERED ABUJA — a group exhibition dedicated to emerging artistic voices and the diverse perspectives shaping contemporary art today.

Bringing together artists across different ideas, mediums and visual languages, the exhibition invites us to look closer, challenge the familiar and discover new ways of seeing.

At its heart, UNDISCOVERED is about possibility — discovering an artist for the first time, encountering an unexpected idea, or seeing something familiar through an entirely different lens.

Join us as we unveil this year’s selection of artists and their works at the grand opening.

Oba Ovonramwen.
A story of exile, resilience, and memory.
The weight of a kingdom in his silence.

This painting portrays Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi (1888–1897), the final independent ruler of the Benin Empire before British conquest. Remembered for his resilience and quiet defiance, Ovonramwen stands as both a symbol of Benin’s grandeur and the sorrow of its downfall in 1897. Surrounded by his family, the work reflects the burden of kingship, the pain of exile, and the endurance of cultural memory. Through this tribute, history continues to speak.

Beyond the Silence.

Some feelings are difficult to name. Some stories are carried quietly, behind smiles, behind silence, behind the everyday.

This World Mental Health Day, we come together to create space for those stories to listen, to connect, to heal, and to remind one another that no one should have to navigate their struggles alone.

Through art, conversation, and shared experience, Beyond the Silence is a celebration of vulnerability, resilience, and the courage it takes to speak.

Because sometimes, being heard is the beginning of healing.

Beyond the silence, there is a story.
Beyond the story, there is hope. #thoughtpyramidabuja #beyondthesilence #mentalhealthawareness #worldmentalhealthday #thingstodoinabuja by @thoughtpyramidabuja

October arrives with new energy. 🇳🇬✨

Happy New Month, and Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. Here’s to freedom, creativity, and the stories that continue to shape us.

And because there’s always more to discover, we’re extending our space at the gallery — making room for more art, more voices, and more moments to experience together.

Here’s to a new month, a new chapter, and a little more room for art. 🖼️ #thoughtpyramidartcentre #nigerianart #independenceday #nigerianartists #nigeriaindependenceday by @thoughtpyramidabuja
