What happens to software engineering when the fundamentals are changing?
At XConf Europe 2026 in London, technologists from across the industry came together to explore exactly that question.

From coding agents and autonomous agent teams to AI-assisted legacy modernization, engineering evaluations and the changing economics of software, the agenda reflected a technology landscape in rapid transition.

But the conversations went beyond what AI can do. They explored what it means for architecture, engineering judgment and how teams build software. They challenged established practices, shared lessons on what worked and what didn’t. They asked what we should rethink, what we should hold on to and what we may need to let go of.

That is what XConf is about: Creating space for technologists to share experiences, challenge assumptions and explore what comes next, together.

A huge thank you to our speakers, attendees, partners and everyone who contributed to making XConf Europe 2026 a day of thoughtful conversations, practical insights and a strong technology community.
