We always hoped Cin Cin would end up around tables like this.

Huge thank you to @dcannatelli for the dinner invitation. The menu looked phenomenal, and we don’t think we’ll ever stop thinking about that pairing with @intheroundhouse

I think I accidentally manifested a commission, and I have the receipts to prove it.

The title imagery of a Greek cookbook titled OPA! by the gorgeous @helenaandvikki ended up on my visual mood board months before I knew the authors or the book existed.

Then they followed me! Full story is in the video, you will not believe how this played out.

Well I did it…. My first market ✨

“Li, you cannot sit here with all this talent and do nothing with it” - a hard thing to hear from one of your closest friends, but that conversation did it, so thank you ❤️ (You know who you are).

A market has always been on my life list, and the first one at @sydneyswapnstyle was perfect!

My goal was one sale and 10 new followers… so four sales, a new commission and 30 of you now joining my little corner of the world was beyond what I had hoped for!
Thank you to all who took a bit of Thread&Li home with you 🤎 it means the world.

Now to make some more Spicy sets and please leave by 9 pillowcases 🤣

The most meaningful thing I’ve ever embroidered wasn’t for a customer.

Earlier this year, I lost my Oma.

When I moved from England to Australia, she started writing me letters. Every birthday, every milestone, every time I was feeling a little homesick, there would be a letter waiting for me.

I kept every single one.

Over the years, I never imagined those letters would become some of my most treasured possessions.

As I was reading through them recently, I found myself lingering over her handwriting. The way she wrote my name. The way she signed off every letter.

“Take good care of yourself. With all my love.”

Words I must have read hundreds of times.

The letters themselves will always be precious, but paper doesn’t last forever.

So I stitched her words by hand and framed them as a keepsake. A small piece of her handwriting. A small piece of her. Something I can look at every day.

It’s become one of my most treasured possessions.

If you have a handwritten note, letter, recipe, card or signature from someone you love, don’t leave it hidden away in a drawer.

I’d be honoured to help preserve it as a keepsake you’ll treasure forever. 🤍

I made four napkins and somehow they each became their own entire dinner party.
I don’t think i’m in the napkin business. I think i’m in the “this is the kind of night I want to be having” business. The designs just happen to live on hand embroidered napkins.

A slow Sunday morning spent dyeing and washing.

One tiny mistake… forgot to rinse the machine between loads and turned my light blue napkins lilac.

Not mad about it though.
Now the question is, what should I embroider on a lilac napkin?
