Here's how I made the witch hat base 🧙‍♀️ I posted this last November, but many more people have joined this page since then, so here's a refresher!

Materials:
• Two wide brim straw hats (mine were thrifted)
• Gorilla hot glue
• Poster paper
• String
• Elmer's glue + water
• Brush

1. Start by making a cone with your poster paper and make sure the opening fits your head. I made mine extra tall by taping two papers together

2. Unravel the top of one of the hats, stick the paper cone in place and begin hot gluing it back together in that new shape. Try your best not to glue the straw onto the paper cone, as you'll be removing it afterwards

3. You'll likely run out of straw before you finish the cone, this is where your second hat comes in! Completely unravel it and blend it into your existing work.

4. Once it's done, remove the paper lining to fold and crumple your hat into the desired shape, using the string to hold it in place

5. Brush watered down glue onto your hat to stiffen it, getting into every nook and cranny. Do one coat and leave outside to dry. Repeat at least 2 times.

6. After it's completely dry, remove the string and ta-da! You have a wonderfully wonky hat!

The Flower Beetle 🪲 I sculpted this cutie out of polymer clay, intentionally making it hollow so my dried flowers would fit inside. The legs were made separately with armature wire and then glued down with resin
I wholeheartedly expected to get a bunch of Ew's when I shared this on my story, but instead I received dozens of wonderful messages that made me smile and cry. The greatest feeling as an artist is to make something a little weird and have others love it as much as you do

I was down in the dumps so I decided to make this and oooh the serotonin! ✨️ It's inspired by @creativesquishy_ 's rat bags, which they have a pattern for so go check that out! I have zero intention of selling this or creating a tutorial, since this was something I freehanded for my own enjoyment. Also the prehensile tail was originally intended to hold my hand sanitizer but I couldn't find it so a 🗡 had to suffice! by @threadhandedjill
