Looks like this is gonna shape up to be a series. Might do a show somewhere. No power hammer used for this piece.

This is my first post in the new year. I hope you all have been doing well. Just wanted to say I still do art ! I just don’t really think I want to share that much of it on any of these vampire ass platforms that are funding our demise. But I digress. We’ll get back to that momentarily.

Here’s a sample of a few of the things I’ve got going and some random shots. Forgery, I did up some stylie hairpins with some fun twist reversal , I started some new wood joints and refined that one series even more. Proper photos to come on that.
Painting feels weird after being in sculpture mode for several months now but I’m trying to at least retain how to hold a brush.. anvil stand. Random torch.

Now. Let’s talk. Social media is wack.

So mark Zuckerberg turned out to be the worst and makes all his piles money off of us. He’s using it to do bad dumb stuff and I just wonder..
what if we all just said fuck you mark.. same with bezos.
That would be fun. Anyways. Keep it real fam. I’ll see you around.

I finished up a piece I’ve been working on for quite a while last night down south with the Homies. @ternionsound did it up big and the vibes were high. Big thanks to @stephenrulloart and @5iproductions for having me out. It’s always a ball.
More neuron stuff. The brain wants what the brain wants..
Acrylic on canvas. Thanks for looking.

Another oil on panel that I started earlier this summer. She’s just about finished. This is probably the most representational painting I’ve done to date. I’ve got lots to learn. Mad respect to the old masters. Thanks for looking.

A few months ago I was invited by my art hero and dearest homie @kettleheadart to join an oil painting workshop in Greece throughout the month of June. The class was focusing on mischteknik An old world style not taught by many in the world today. This class was lead by one of the worlds top masters in this 600 year old practice, @professor.phil . And his wife @mantracoraart. I had been aware of this class for a few years now and was getting my technique up to par as to not waste the opportunity.
The class was amazing, both of them superb instructors. I feel like I am closer to the level of painting I’m trying to achieve by light years!
Truly a revelation.

This is the my first completed oil painting that I started at the class. It’s taken me a bit longer than I expected just because I was having so much fun with it.
Thanks for looking. More finished works to come.

@mountainmusicfest has done it again. The best vibes. Curated by the beautiful group of amazing weirdos that are @thepigmentsanctuary. This stems directly from the hard work and dedication of the staff at @aceadventureresort. They provide a clean, safe space for artistic magic to happen. That only happens in a free and open forum. One without quotas and regiments. Not a corral to direct and confine, but a trellis to support creativity and beauty and sometimes failure and messiness. It’s all part of the magic. To deny any of it spoils it all. I feel so fortunate to have found a group of creative people that are tight as this crew and still so welcoming and supportive. And rowdy. As fuck. And pro about it to boot. Magic happens when you let a bunch of wizards ( maybe an apprentice or two ) get together and let them cut loose a bit. Spills will happen. Mud might get in your hair or maybe in your eye 🪬 but it’ll wash right out and in the end you need some mud for things to grow in.

That’s what we got going on. It’s rare and this festival lets us show what we do better than any.

Big ups to the bands this weekend.
Big ups to staff and my Artners. I love you the most.
