Takeout, in THIS economy?! 🥟 STOP ordering takeout and make this batch of 52 homemade chicken dumplings for LESS THAN $15! Before halal Chinese takeout was easy to find, I was already in my kitchen experimenting with homemade dumplings. I make them a few different ways, but these freezer-friendly chicken dumplings are a family favourite! They’ve got a mild kick from white pepper and gochujang, but you can adjust the spice to taste. Watch the video for my easy folding tutorial and SAVE this recipe! Easy Freezer-Friendly Chicken Dumplings 🥟 Makes approximately 52 Ingredients: * 1 lb (454 g) lean ground chicken * 2½ tsp soy sauce * 2 tsp hoisin sauce * 1 tsp gochujang * 2 garlic cloves, minced * 1 tsp grated ginger * ¼ tsp sesame oil * ¼ tsp white pepper * ¼ tsp MSG (optional) * 2–3 tbsp chopped green onions * 1 tbsp water * 52 round dumpling wrappers * Water for sealing Instructions: 1. Combine chicken, sauces, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, white pepper, MSG and green onions. Add 1 tbsp water and mix until absorbed and slightly sticky. 2. Add 1½–2 tsp filling to each wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold, press out air pockets and seal. See video for folding! 3. Bring water to a boil. Add dumplings in batches, stirring gently. Once boiling again, cook 5–7 minutes at a gentle boil. They’ll float as they cook, but ensure chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). 4. Drain and serve with chili oil, soy sauce and sesame oil! FREEZER TIP: Freeze uncooked dumplings in a single layer on a lined tray, then transfer to freezer bags. Boil straight from frozen, adding extra time until fully cooked. 52 dumplings, under $15, and ready whenever the craving hits! 🙌 Would you make these or order takeout? 😂 SAVE & SHARE! #ChickenDumplings #HomemadeDumplings #HalalRecipes #FreezerMeals #budgetfriendlymeals by @threecupsofchai
My older daughter wanted to decide what the kids would have for lunch today, so I shared the 2027 Milk Calendar with her. After flipping through it, and trying to convince me to bake the vanilla frosted cake for lunch, she decided she wanted the creamy chicken casserole. Growing up in Ontario means so many of us have fond memories of flipping through the Milk Calendar with our families when we were children. Sharing these moments, and the 50th edition Milk Calendar, with my own children feels extra special. Every recipe we’ve tried has been a hit, and these chicken hand pies were gone before I knew it. Head to calendar.milk.org for your copy and make these pies with your loved ones too! Homemade Cheese Naan 🧀 Soft, fluffy, and filled with melty mozzarella cheese! This homemade cheese naan is easy to make and pairs perfectly with butter chicken, curries, or even on its own! Ingredients (makes about 6 naan) * 2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more as needed * 1½ tsp instant yeast * 1 tsp sugar * 1–1¼ tsp salt * ¾ tsp baking powder * ⅛ tsp baking soda * 3 tbsp Balkan or Greek yogurt * 2 tbsp olive oil * ½–¾ cup warm water, divided, as needed * Mozzarella cheese, for stuffing Instructions 1. In a small bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, and ¼ cup warm water. Stir and let sit for 5–10 minutes until the yeast becomes foamy. 2. In the bowl of a stand mixer or a large mixing bowl, combine the salt, baking powder, baking soda, yogurt, and olive oil. Add the activated yeast mixture and 2 cups of flour. Gradually add the remaining warm water until a soft dough forms. 3. Knead until smooth and elastic, then cover and let rise until doubled in size. I like to knead by hand for about 5 min after the dough comes together in the stand mixer. 4. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Flatten each piece, fill with about 1/4-1/3 cup of cold shredded mozzarella, and pinch the edges together to seal. 5. Gently roll each portion into a naan and cook in a hot skillet or tawa until golden and bubbly on both sides. 6. Brush with melted garlic and cilantro butter and serve warm! Save this homemade cheese naan recipe for your next dinner! #CheeseNaan #HomemadeNaan #NaanRecipe #IndianFood #HomemadeBread EasyRecipes by @threecupsofchai
The Milk Calendar has been part of my kitchen for as long as I can remember. I grew up flipping through it, making recipes from it as a teenager, and now I’m doing the same in my own kitchen, with my own family. This year I took the butter chicken from the 2027 Milk Calendar and was inspired to pair it with homemade cheese naan. I got my daughter involved, and created some wonderful memories together. The recipes in the Milk Calendar have always inspired me to cook and explore in the kitchen, and are some of my earliest memories of cooking and baking. I’m so glad to be able to carry that tradition forward with my kids today. You’re a handful of ingredients and 2 hours away from this crispy, airy, homemade pan pizza. Serve with a fresh Caesar salad and some chicken cutlets, wings or my cheesy meatballs (on the blog!). Baked in my Hexclad skillet, you can definitely go bigger for a slightly thinner crust 3 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp instant yeast 1.5T olive oil 1.5 tsp salt 1tsp sugar 1.5 cups warm water Extra olive oil for greasing the pan Corn meal/flour for dusting Garlic salt Dried oregano Chili flakes Parmesan Sauce, cheese and toppings of choice 1. Combine the yeast, sugar and 1 cup of warm water, to the bowl of a stand mixer (or bowl to mix by hand) let sit for 5 minutes 2. Add in the olive oil, and 2 cups of flour. Mix using the dough hook on speed 2 for 2-3 min. 3. Add in the remaining cup of flour, salt and 1/4 to 1/2 cup water (I use 1/2 cup, however hydration can vary based on your location, humidity, and flour used). Mix until well combined, about 5 min 4. You’re looking for smooth and very mildly sticky dough 5. Remove the dough from the bowl using greased hands. Knead on a clean surface for another 5 minutes 6. Roll into a smooth ball, place into a greased bowl and cover. Rest for about an hour, or until doubled in size. 7. Preheat your oven to 425F and generously grease a deep oven safe skillet or pizza pan. The amount of olive oil you use here will help with that classic crispy pan pizza crust. Sprinkle with corn flour as well. 8. Flip the dough out onto the prepared skillet/pan. Starting from the centre, press the dough outwards to fit the pan, leaving a border that will become the crust. If necessary, gently pull the dough to fit your pan. 9. Spread your sauce, add cheese and toppings, sprinkle with garlic salt, oregano, parm and chili flakes - be sure to cover the crust as well. 10. Drizzle more olive oil over the crust and edges. 11. Bake for 15-20 min, until golden and crispy Remove from the oven and rest for 5 min, before removing the pizza to a cooling rack. Pro tip: place the pizza w/o the pan directly onto the oven grill to re crisp the bottom if steam has gotten to it! #pizza pizza recipe #recipe #homemadepizza Pizza Hut by @threecupsofchai
This Mango Sago aka Mango Bango video went super viral when I first posted it, and for good reason 🥭 Originating in the Philippines, and popular across Asia, it’s so easy to make, comes together in no time, and the cooling qualities of sago/tapioca are exactly what your body needs during these hot summer days ☀️ Play with the fruits: add strawberries (look for my strawberry sago already posted!), kiwi, or any other fruit (or mix them up!) and enjoy! Here’s how I make it: Add 1 cup of small or medium sago/tapioca to about 5 cups of boiling water Simmer for ten minutes, stirring often so they don’t stick to the pot. Turn off the heat, cover and rest for ten more minutes. The tapioca should have plumped up and become clear (it’s white to begin with!) Strain the tapioca and add to a large bowl. Add in 1 cup of milk, half a can of sweetened condensed milk (I recommend Eagle Brand) and stir. Dice 2-3 mangoes, strain one jar of coconut jelly (Nata da coco), and add both to the tapioca mixture. Stir to combine and refrigerate for a few hours before serving. This dessert can easily be made vegan: use coconut milk and coconut condensed milk in place of the dairy. #mangosago #summerdessert #dessertideas no bake desserts easydesserts glutenfreedesserts vegandessertrecipes by @threecupsofchai
Not your traditional Turkish eggs, but they taste just as good, are packed with protein, and take just a few minutes to put together. Yes, I used dried dill - have you seen how fast a fresh bunch of dill goes bad 🫠. Fresh is obv better, but in this house we take what we have and turn it into something delicious 😌 Keep the yolks in if you prefer, I like filling the whites with the yogurt/butter mixture and scooping with crispy sourdough or gf bread! #AD We love onigiri at our house, a compact snack that’s delicious, filling and gluten-free 🍙 That’s why I’m adding this Spicy Tuna Yaki Onigiri to my spread while we watch Japan vs Sweden tonight! What makes it so special is that it’s brushed with a delicious sweet and savoury glaze and grilled to crispy perfection! I’ve made my yaki onigiri with U.S.-grown Jasmine rice for the perfect sticky texture. U.S. rice contains more than 15 essential vitamins and minerals including folic acid, B vitamins, potassium, magnesium, selenium, fibre, iron, and zinc. It’s also vegan, gluten-free, highly digestible and is considered one of the least allergenic grains, making it an important option for those with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, or other food sensitivities. Rice is universal, it transcends borders and U.S.-grown rice plays a significant role in many dishes. So, no matter who you’re rooting for, U.S. rice makes the perfect addition to your World Cup snack spread! The full recipe for these delicious yaki onigiri can be found on www.riceinfo.com along with additional recipes, nutrition information, and everything you need to know about U.S. rice. @usaricecan #USARiceCan #ThinkRice #RiceisLife #USARice recipe World Cup gluten free recipes onigiri yaki onigiri by @threecupsofchai

Portugal gave us Ronaldo, custard tarts, and peri peri. Safe to say they’re winning off the pitch too 🇵🇹🔥 Peri peri is smoky, tangy, a little spicy, and completely addictive. The secret to my version is cooking down the leftover marinade with butter into a glossy basting sauce that caramelises right onto the wings as they cook. Perfect World Cup watch party food, or honestly just a Tuesday night excuse to make wings. PERI PERI CHICKEN WINGS (1 kg / 2 lbs chicken wings) Marinade: • 1 large roasted red bell pepper, jarred is fine! • 2 dried red chillies (mild spice, add more as desired), soaked in hot water 10 min • 4 garlic cloves • ½ small/medium onion • 2 tbsp olive oil • 1½ tbsp red wine vinegar • 1 tbsp lemon juice • 1½ tsp spicy smoked paprika • ¾ tsp dried oregano • 1 tsp salt • ¼ tsp black pepper • ¾ tsp honey Method: 1. Split, tip, and pat wings very dry. 2. Blend all marinade ingredients until smooth. Toss wings in marinade and refrigerate at least 2 hours and up to overnight. 3. Remove wings and pour leftover marinade into a small saucepan with ¼ cup butter. Reduce over medium heat until glossy, 3 to 4 minutes. This is your basting sauce. 4. Oven: 425°F on a wire rack. 20 min, flip, 15 min, baste, 10 to 12 min more. Broil 2 to 3 min for extra char. 5. Air fryer: 400°F for 7-10 min per side, flip halfway, baste in the last 4 to 5 min. 6. Rest 5 min and serve with lemon and my seasoned fries (recipe coming!) 🇵🇹 Drop a 🐓 if you’re rooting for Portugal! #chickenwings #periperi #portugal #ronaldo World Cup recipes #recipe explore page viral recipes by @threecupsofchai
My son just asked me to make these for him, so I decided to share them with you. Greek, garlic stuffed, olives in brine, drained and mixed with chopped onions, chili flakes and lots of good olive oil. That’s it. They make a delicious addition to your pizza/pasta nights, or on charcuteries. My kids pull them out of the fridge to just snack on, on their own. So good! Add them to your World Cup party spread! #olives #charcuterie #easysnacks worldcup party food appetizers snacks spicy olives How many of you love olives by @threecupsofchai
